Ate there for breakfast, had the special which was scramble with spinach, tomatoes, feta cheese, served with grits and toast, also ordered bignets. My mom had eggs, hash-browns and muffin. The food was good, very large portions, but nothing truly outstanding. Service was good, no waiting on a weekday. Prices are reasonable but the atmosphere was lacking, seemed to be... More

I didn't go in July 2014, although I wish I had. I went to school at UCSB and lived in SB for about 12 years. My review is based on multiple trips to the Cajun Kitchen over the years. CK was always our go-to-spot after a big night out.l I can't count the number of hangovers I've treated with Steve's... More

Cajun Kitchen never fails to provide the best breakfast in Goleta. Wide variety of specialty breakfasts, good Cajun style food, very good-sized portions, nice patio seating. Usually a short wait but worth it. Very casual.

Popular and great place to eat breakfast. Traditional breakfast and the omelets were great. Attentive staff and good service. Not a fancy place but the food makes up for the lack of atmosphere.

I came here with family on a holiday weekend morning around 10, and there were already plenty of people in the restaurant. We ordered 2 orders of jambalaya with an egg and 2 orders of shrimp and grits with an egg. The jambalaya had bold zesty flavors that filled the palette. The shrimp and grits was much more mild in... We make a point to stop for a meal at the Cajun Kitchen at least once every time we visit the area. As a family we have tried several of the menu items (breakfast and lunch) and have never been disappointed. The chile verde omelet is spicy but amazing, the biscuits are moist and fluffy, the service is always efficient,... More

I have friends who really like this place, but it's just not a favorite. I have gotten the monte cristo before and it's good (not great). They have big portions, but a diner just really isn't my thing. Now when I meet friends there for breakfast, I get the oatmeal with berries.

Our hotel's front desk agent recommended Cajun Kitchen when we asked about breakfast options, and they hit it out of the park! We sat outside to take advantage of the wonderful weather and service on the patio was excellent. The menu was pretty big, but two very non-cajun things caught my eye: chilaquiles and a chorizo omelet. I couldn't decide... More

This place does not take reservations, so there was a long wait when we came here on Mother's Day. It was definitely worth the wait since we left with a happy tummy and some leftovers. The portions are very generous and the food is delicious. The gumbo and the beignets were so yummy.
