There is no place like Bistro at Bacara for vacation, family togetherness, enjoyment of view, and just pure relaxing. It is absolutely gorgeous here. You can see and hear the ocean and the natural beauty all around. While I cannot say that the dish that I ordered - the halibut - was the very best I have ever had -... More

Once you walk through the resort and see how immaculate the grounds are, your expectations for a wonderful meal are high. Unfortunately, the food does not come up to par with the resort. Food was average, cold, and lacking flavor. Their chef needs to step it up! Service was excellent but when the food leaves much to be desired the... More

I had a time limit and needed a quick meal before departure. I had a sublime fritto misto and a great filet mignon with a side of superior mac and cheese in under 35 minutes, all prepared precisely to my request, with the addition of seasonal berries with brown sugar. Five stars.

We were planning to have some coffee and desert and enjoy ocean view last afternoon, but found out that the chef was new and decided to test the menu. Turn out to be wise decision. We were told that this menu is first one completely designed by the new chef. The menu is quite in interesting with nice variety. We... More

Service was excellent. My omelette was good. My husband's Huevos Rancheros was runny and tortillas soggy. Looked like the chef dumped some black beans on top of the eggs without straining the juice.

I had the pleasure of dropping in for brunch at the Bistro with some friends. Whereas the ambiance and the environment were beautiful, the food was not as good as I expected, and the quality was a little all over the place. For instance, the buffet selections were incredible and plentiful. However, I also ordered the angus burger which was... More

Stopped in for lunch at Bacara on a Sunday and was very impressed with The Bistro. Great outdoor setting with lovely Santa Barbara umbrellas to shade you while dining. The service was top notch, friendly and efficient. The food was delish! We started with a bruschetta and split a cobb and ahi club. All spot on here!

We had an awesome Christmas eve there. Wonderful plates combined with great wines in a comfortable restaurant with great view and an attentive service. It's not exactly cheap but worth each $.

The food was always served hot. The portions were ample and tasty. The wait staff was friendly and pleasant. The view was fabulous. The wait to get our food was longer than we liked.

A gourmet café that deserves awards. If on a special day, please be sure to ask if they have their regular menu. We were unfortunately surprised after showing up on Christmas Day for dinner at 7:45PM and although we were looking for something light for dinner, we were stuck with a Fixed Menu at $85 each plus drinks.
