Good food and great views of the beach and the ocean. Inside or outside (shaded) seating. We loved that it is located right next to the Goleta County Park and the fishing pier!

Stopped in about 8pm on a Friday without reservations. Had to wait almost 30 minutes for a table although there were numerous empty tables throughout the main room. While the food was OK, the service was the worst. 15 minutes to get a simple drink order. another 15 to wait for the salad to be served and an additional 25... More

The Beachside is an awesome little secret tucked away on the beach in Goleta. My wife and I discovered this place on a recent business/pleasure trip to the Santa Barbara area, and in a rare occurrence on our trips, came back after a great first impression. Located on the ocean near the UC Santa Barbara campus and the airport, the... More

As the title states, this restaurant could not have a better location. Although the food isn't mind-blowing, it is a solid menu that gives plenty of selection for diverse tastes. The clam chowder is a favorite and should not be skipped. Key lime pie is different, but satisfying in a unique way.

Aside from the beautiful location on the beach with cozy fireplace to ward off the chill, and the friendly service, this place was a big fat miss. The salad that comes with the meal is iceberg lettuce with prepared-elsewhere croutons and sour tomatoes. Not good. The stuffed halibut was so over cooked a sharp knife was inadequate, and the crab... More

Beachside has been a favorite of ours for 20 years. In recent years, we have gone there more for sunset happy hours than dinners. But several nights ago we went with friends for dinner. The featured entree, Paella del Mar, was barely edible. They substituted salt for saffron as a seasoning and through in a few pieces of shell fish... More

A fun stop on any trip to Santa Barbara. Beachside is definitely ON the beach. Fun menu, great view on the patio, good food and service. I had the paella-a great choice. My wife can't do lettuce, so she ordered the Cobb salad without the lettuce. The manager immediately came over to the table and said that in the thirty... More

Located almost on the sand of Goleta Beach, just down from UCSB. Sun shining, surf up and kids and adults in the cold cold water. The sea food special (scallops on a bed of rice was Outstanding. My husband had a Phillies sandwich and although a bit tough and chewy, very tasty, says he. I say...stick to the seafood. You... More

This restaurant, located at the beach near the university of California Santa Barbara (UCSB), has a great location, with a view on the pacific ocean. I have enjoyed calamari strips as an appetizer and a shrimp pesto pasta as the main course. After this excellent meal I was stuffed and satisfied. The interior of the restaurant is nice and there... Nice lunch spot on the beach. Recommended by a local who has lived there for 50+ years. Perfect lunch. I had 2 skewers with veggies, shrimp and scallops with a papaya salsa and the spicy shrimp soup. Delicious!
