Well, when it comes to sushi, I'm no easy critic. The good: *We ordered salmon sashimi for $10 and literally the portions had to of been worth at least $15 or more. *Hot sake was great. *Their green tea ice cream is killer. *The older asian lady was so, so sweet. The not so good: *All of our rolls, especially... More

Food may be good (never had an opportunity to eat) but not providing any service to a customer sitting for 20 minutes not acceptable. Left before order could be taken so cannot comment on the cuisine. El Pollo Rico down the street great Mexican food.

My boyfriend randomly found this place and decided to stop in. The owner was so incredibly sweet and now she has remembered us each time. She will often surprise us with a special dish, just something small to snack in, and it is always so delicious and such a sweet gesture. The fish is always delicious and the rolls have... More

Some times a hole in the wall restaurant can be very rewarding. This one is a big "Not" Located in a mid-seedy location, near other small businesses in a low light area, it is a bit intimidating-but, what the heck, for good sushi it might be worth it. "Not". Inside, the small tables are crunched together. The service was very... More

Great local restaurant in old town Goleta. Family owned. The food is good and reasonably priced. It is very popular with the locals for sushi. When I went with a group from work, I had the Bento Box and it was delicious. Lots of food and it comes with Miso soup which was delicious. The rest of the group loved... More

Stayed at the Hampton Inn,saw it was the closest sushi restaurant with decent reviews. Had the Chrishi Don & Miso. The miso was basically broth & no better than store bought. The fish slices were too big & thick, bland & no effort in pairing with anything. Frankly I get better sushi at home in Texas; was very disappointed.

From the warm welcome by the owner to the delicious food this is a good meal. The food is fresh, the owner buys only quality ingridients. she is generous with her portions and reasonable with the prices. Like coming home to mama!

Excellent. Presentation, quality and service. Owner is attentive and wants to please. Bustling on Sat evening. Clean, terrific special Fire Dragon. Dynamite roll without fried tempura is excellent. Nice nigiri. Good eel! 400 miles from my house but I will come back when I'm in the area.

We found this locally owned sushi house when we arrived in Goleta. The sushi and sashimi were fantastic. The fish cuts were large, and the prices amazing. The owner, Vinh, is a passionate restauranteur, and ended up sharing her story with us. Highly recommend!

We were in Goleta for a week in February. After a great meal at GSH, we were back twice before we left. As much as we liked it the first time, the owner started treating us as regulars and family by the time we left. We are back in town for 3 weeks in April and probably still averaging 3... More
