Surprise...Surprise!!

Don't be fooled that this Mexican/pizza restaurant is not fancy, or located in an upscale neighborhood. Don't drive by and say, "Well, maybe we should find somewhere else." This is a hidden jewel in Glendora right on Route 66. How cool is that? Definitely give Mauricio's a chance. As a... read more

This is a hidden jewel in Glendora right on Route 66. How cool is that? Definitely give Mauricio's a chance. As a lifetime (American) Mexican food fan, Mauricio's surpassed all my requirements... Yep! And very good Mexican food and excellent pizza. So now when you're eating with a group of people, everyone can find something to eat on the menu. The owner is a very hard working, personable man. You can tell he takes pride in his restaurant and his staff. He greets everyone as they enter and makes you feel so... More

Mauricio's is a great place for a casual, relaxing, satisfying, excellent Mexican food experience, complete with several flat screen TV's. Mauricio is a wonderful owner/host, hard working and very friendly. He sets a great example for his staff who follow suit; everybody is personable and hard working. He has a terrific gazebo outside, wonderful on a nice day. And, my... More

My wife and I ate here for a second time as a convenient break point in a road trip. I had the tongue burrito which was average, although rarely found in many Americanized Mexican restaurants. My wife had a ground beef taco, which had maybe a tablespoon of meat, and a side of frijoles which was OK but little different... More

I have seen this restaurant and always wondered if it was any good. We finally tried it and it was better than good, it was great! The tamales were amazing, so full of meat. We will be ordering some for Christmas. The service was as good as the food. We recognize the owner and discovered he used to work at... More

Nothing bad about this place, but I dont think this is the best Mexican food in the area. Long list of pretty standard mexican food, along with pizza. They have beer and wine cocktails, but not a full bar. I'll try some of the other places in the area before I go out of my way to come here. Nice... More

Authentic Mexican dinning that your friends will enjoy. A must go to if you're in the area. No need to have fill up 100 Characters when it's just real good food and service. Nothing fancy.

Sunday AM... My new favorite Mexican restaurant. Tropical Mexico is an effort; El Tepeyac is too far; La Paloma has become ho-hum; and El Merendero has slipped over the last 30 years. Mauricio's has BIG plates with all the trimmings and are served unexpectedly fast. Classic authentic rice n beans with homemade tortillas. Very large overstuffed tacos. Cheese was fresh... More

Tried Mauricio's for the first time Saturday evening after hearing good things from friends and reading good reviews. Got there before 7pm and the place was packed with quite a few people waiting. Impressive, because they are in a less than prime retail location. After waiting about 20 minutes, we had a very enjoyable meal. Service was good (probably asked... More
