1. The Spicy Laing Tilapia fish is very good but at $12.95, it does not include rice - in fact, none of their entrees include rice so it makes it expensive. The small side order of rice is $4.95 and a large which looks about 3 cups of rice is plenty for 4 people. The rice is long grain rice... More

Here we found the authentic Filipino food that we've been craving for....though the place was jam packed, we didn't wait for so long to be seated. The ambiance was nice plus the hassle free valet parking.

This charming restaurant is perfect for a luncheon with friends. Even if you are not familiar with Filipino food, there are great items on the menu, and service is excellent. Everything is cooked fresh, and the famous fried chicken is not to be missed. Be sure to try any of the noodle dishes, known as "pansit." The pandan and coconut... More

This was the Mother's Day lunch venue for me & my daughter since we were both craving KareKare, and as always food here doesn't disappoint. The pork sisig and the miki bihon guisado was yummy. Of course the chicken is akways good. The only thing that spoiled the fun was that the sago gulaman was soooo sweet, we asked for... More

There aren't many filipino restaurants around but if you're from the Philippines like I am then you're familiar with Max's. This is where I take my relatives when they're in town and they ask for filipino food. There's always Jollibee and Chow King nearby but Max's is where you go to have a nice sit down dinner. Good stuff and... More

There aren't may filipino restaurants to choose from in LA. Good thing Max's is around. They have a good variety of choices in their menu. We normally get their lumpia, kare kare, crispy pata, and of course their chicken. It's not called the house that friend chicken made for nothing. This place is great for large groups of people to... We had a last-minute birthday celebration held in this place. We found the staff very accommodating and friendly. They even made a surprise ice cream cake for the celebrant. Very enjoyable moment and definitely will come back there again.

This place is great for authentic filipino food. From basic filipino breakfast choices like tocilog or longsilog to entrees like kare kare or crispy para... they're all so good! If you like filipino food, there's nothing better to choose from in the area.

PROS: Crispy, mouth-watering and delicious chicken; their other entrees are tasty too! CONS: Difficult to find and reach as you have to go thru LA traffic! Very tight parking lot.
