We had a pretty good meal here, and in truth the food was a bit better than I'd expected. I had the ribs and they were delicious. I ate about half my serving (so should have got a half) and brought the rest home for lunch today (served 2). This place is old style: chopped house salad or soup... read more

This is my second time there. I booked via open table. My table on a very busy Saturday night was ready in minutes. The specials are fantastic. This time, I let my waitress recommend everything, and she was spot on! I was unimpressed the first visit, but after this one, I'll be back!

Was in town on business and I decided to try this place out... Had the prime rib with twice bake potato at the bar, was excellent and very affordable. As many reviewers have posted, this place is a bit dated, but it only ads to the experience in my opinion. Highly recommended!

Any time you are in Glendale, California, and especially if you go to the Alex Theatre for a theatrical production or a film society screening, check out Damon's across the street. It's been around since the mid-1930s and is done up in a kitschy islands motif. The menu is very good and the prices are reasonable. The house salad that... More

My experience at Damon's after multiple visits with friends is that the place feel tired...the food is lackluster and the atmosphere is frankly a little dingy and too dark. Every time I go, I want to feel better about the place...but alas...it has remained the same over the last two years...salad is a bit mussy...and carpet dirty.

Damon's has been in business for 70 years and has won multiple awards as a great area steakhouse. Perhaps the steak is really good, but the ribs were nothing special. Tough, rather than tender and falling off the bone, and not much flavor. They came with two sides AND cornbread AND choice of soup/salad, plus bread for the table. I... More

You cannot go wrong by going to this fine restaurant. Enjoy all the food, nothing is below excellent. My scale bar for an excellent steak place is how tender the Top Sirloin is. This cut of meat can go from tough to tender, and Damons by far has the best top Sirloin going. Now try the Rib Eye, that is... More

I decided to try Damon's for the first time this Sat. night due to the flyers they had posted outside the door stating they were voted #1 in Glendale for 2012. I took my girlfriend and we ordered the Mai-Chi, an appetizer of fried oysters and the BBQ combo with sides of mac & cheese & cole slaw. The waiter... More

Indescribable steak and Mai Tai's what could better. Don't forget to order the cheese toast, twice baked potato and house salad - then your Damon's meal is complete.
