Steakhouse Classic

Damons has been a fixture in Glendale for Glendale and is as good as ever. Their steaks are scrumptious, and they mix a great salad right at your table. Their decoratived motif is Polynesian, and their specialty drinks from the bar reflect that as well. Suggest you call for reservations.

Overall, an acceptable experience. Steaks were correctly cooked, salad was good, portions ok. Service was about what you would expect. Overall, worth the visit, but not sure that I would make it a favorite.

Damon's has been around Glendale since the late 1940s---it was one of those Polynesian themed restaurants that sprung up shortly after WW II. In the early 70's their original location was taken as part of a redevelopment scheme to build a major regional shopping center, so they took their business to Brand Boulevard--and built a new restaurant with the same... Damon's is normally very busy for dinner, so a reservation is a must. But for Christmas Eve lunch the restaurant was relatively empty. The 8 ounce filet can't be beat - and the steak sandwich is a very good deal at about half the price (though not quite as tender as the filet). Both come with a sizable starter salad.... More

About 20 of us descended upon this restaurant to renew family ties. The generous portions on our plates were amazing! The salad was made right at the table. The baked potatoes were huge! Even though there was many of us, our service was great. The waitress not only kept us happy with our food orders, the drinks were delivered quickly... More

This place has been there since the early days of the cotton gin. Maybe not that long. But some of the waitresses look like they might have known Eli Whitney. I love this place. It's polo shirt casual, priced that way, and the steaks are always good. The garlic bread is always great. This place is also famous for getting... More

We have been coming to Damon's for many many years. There have been some changes. But luckily, not to the Mai Tais and Chi Chis. The house salad served family style cannot be beat

I've heard about the Mai Tai here and wanted to try it. I was not impressed with the quality or flavor. Mai Tai had Bacardi in it, not what I hoped for. My wife got the Monkey's Uncle which should have a banana flavor to it....couldn't taste a difference from my drink. After those drinks we chose not to order... More

We anticipated coming back to Damon's on our recent trip to Glendale as we used to live there & Damon's was one of our favorite places. Frankly it seemed worn out. Service was harried & forgetful. Drinks served to the wrong person & a Chi Chi not very icy. The Mahi was terribly overlooked. The fresh creamed corn was actually... More
