I don't get the hype, it has every pastry imaginable but I would trade selection for one really great pumpkin pie, any day. More

I often go to Porto's. The cuban sandwiches are very good and the bakery goods are great. I recommend Porto's highly. More

Great sandwiches and pastries in a big and busy cafe. Their long lines are worth the wait and reflect Porto's well-earned reputation for local comfort food and good value. Pork sandwiches at Porto's are the best in Los Angeles. More

Wow! I've eaten here several times and needed to make sure my taste buds weren't fooling me before posting a review... Yes - my taste buds were correct! Awesome food! In the mood for a Cuban Sandwich? They've got an excellent one! Probably the best I've had!!! If you aren't in the mood for that, you can try one of... More

I limit my "hometown" reviews to those places I believe would be particularly good for a visitor to experience but which you may not hear about from a guidebook. Porto's would be at the top of that list. Owned and closely managed by a lovely, personable family of Cuban emigres (don't miss the old family pictures on the walls), Porto's... More

The pastries are good and there is a great variety. The lines are always long so the service is not quick. It is busy and loud, but the prices are really inexpensive. Treat yourself to the Cubano sandwich for lunch! More

I really enjoy their cuban sandwich. Very delicious! Also their potatoe balls and there're so many desserts that are decorated so nicely. I love the fruit tart dessert! Everything is tasty and fresh. Can get very crowded. S.D. Glendale, CA More

Portos is always packed so the best time to go and get their goodies is early on in the day. Avoid weekends if possible. I just love the potato balls, spinach feta croissant and the meat pies. I also love the Cuban sandwich. Very tender with has lots of flavor. Please don't try to count the calories or see your... More

I love anything pumpkin and I just had the best Pumpkin Cheesecake I have ever had!! I couldn't believe that it was made just the way I would have made it if I could. I had a dark chocolate moist cookie crust, the cheesecake was smooth with just the right flavor, a layer of caramel, with a sprinkle of pecans... More
