Bring me a box of Cheese Rolls!

Not just 1 box of cheese rolls...you will order at least 5 to share with family, co-workers and friends! Stopped inside for breakfast and ordered the ham and cheese croissant and it was delicious! I have lived in Glendale on my life Portos has been part of the neighborhood for as long as I can remember I have and I'm still by my birthday cakes from Portos The long wait times become is not worth it I have to say that they do have good quality cakes fairly inexpensive but the wait is torturous... My reward for hiking to the Griffith Observatory? Portos! And it was delish. I'm a first timer so we ordered carrot cake (too sweet), guava cheese and cheese rolls were my fave, meat pies and potato balls were great. The viejas sandwich was ok and so were the croquettes. Long line but great customer service. A must for baked products... More

I've heard about how darn busy this business can be, but it's for a reason. I'm living in Miami Florida currently and the comparison of cuisine was amazing! We went early to get some Cuban pastries, pastelitos, and cafe con leche. The cakes were to die for, I would have taken one to go if I weren't travelling. The prices... More

Indeed, the line can be absurd, but there is a reason. Desserts look obscenely good. Try some potato balls with whatever you order. They are great. They would be a fine meal by themself. Meat, cheese, and peppers inside a perfectly cooked, breaded and flavored potato ball. Yummy. The midnight sandwich is great, a slight upscale to a traditional Cuban.... More

I went with my family a group of eight or nine. Outrageously long lines followed by a system that had me placing the order three times before it was finally entered into a register. Then the wait for the food begins oh no wait first you wait in line to get a table then you start waiting for the food.... More

On our way our of LA, my husband & I stopped in to grab several sandwiches and some potato balls to-go. The Cuban's are delish, we also got a media noche, & ropa veija sandwich, all were delicious. The potato balls are famous & rightfully so.They are delicious, I wanted to order a dozen to-go but felt ridiculous doing so... More

My friends and I went to Porto's last night around 6:30pm. There is a ton of parking at this place, but you do have to pay. It's only about .75. The lines weren't as long as the one in Downey and the service is a little slower, but the baked goods are just as delicious! I've always loved the cheese... More
