cakes, pastries, potato balls- heaven! easy party food

Yes it they are know for potato balls. They come in two sizes. A cocktail two bites size and the always plentiful golf ball portion. A juicy meat mixture surrounded by a slight mash potato mixture and fried just before taking their place in the hot case. Full of flavor that's had to describe other than yum yum yum. Yes... More

Everytime my family visit LA we must stop by at porto's to eat and to buy tons of bakery back home. Everything they bake are all delicious. My favourite are guava turn over, mango empanada, tres leches, flan and apple turn over. I wish they open it in las vegas.

A very popular place with the locals. Baked goods, breakfast sandwiches, coffee! Next time in the area will go back at lunchtime!

The title says it all. I like this place , good food, sandwiches , cakes etc but the one thing that bugs me here is that's it's so popular the service can dip. Queues can be long , waiting can be painful. I walk in only if II see the queue is short alternatively I rather buy further down the... More

Porto's has a bakery side and a café side. If you're looking to get a few sweets but also have lunch as well I recommend going over to the bakery side, checking out the pastry options they have then going over to the café. The bakery line is long, but fast. People order by the dozens. Potato balls, cheese rolls,... More

This is a staple for cheap, decadent good eats. There are 3 locations in Southern California. I frequent the Glendale and Burbank locations. Porto's is notorious for long lines and they move pretty rapidly. Go with your patience intact and an empty belly. There are 3 ways to get your order. The line with everything which also includes a bevy... More

Pastry, cakes, everything in this store is to satisfy your sugar craving. Don't have a favorite but anything I can eat. Store is big so plenty of space and keep it very clean.

Yummy. Tasty. Magnificent. The best pastry in town and the southland. The fruit tarts are legendary and everyone's favorite. The rest of the selections are also very, very good. Have not had anything that disappoints. Always crowded, but for a good reason.
