Be prepared to wait in line, but the wait is so well worth it!

There's always a line outside Porto's, but one day I decided to see what it was all about. The food is very good and now I know why people can't get enough of this place.

This place is a gastronomic tourist destination all by itself. I wish they'd open something like this in my hometown. Everything is delicious - whether its for breakfast, lunch, take out, dinner, desert, this place is a "must see & stop" if you are in Glendale. The line is always long (been there 3x in one day). You better be... More

We visited here on our way home from LA to take some baked goods home for our family. We also had something there before getting back on the road. I find this site better than the Burbank site for the length of the lines and the availability of seating and parking. Your results may vary. The only negative comment I... More

A great Bakery and lunch spot in downtown Glendale. The variety of baked goods was amazing, the quality was good and the prices were excellent. A very helpful and friendly staff as well. Whether you're getting something for breakfast, stuff for the road, or a box to take to work, I highly recommend this spot.

It's been awhile since visiting but several weeks ago had a family gathering we decided to order food "To GO" Sister ordered Media Noche Means in English Midnight sandwiches ...and for dessert ordered a Fruit Tort Pie. Media Noche is like a poor boy sandwiches....extremely fresh yellow bread filled with ham slice, maybe pork, mayo mustard and pickles. Absolutely fresh,... More

This has always been our go-to place for Cuban pastries, sandwiches & bread. Being a Cuban native living in LA, Portos hits a home run always when I want to indulge with my favorite "Refugiados" (guava& cream cheese pastry)!

I love their pastries, especially "the Refugiado" cheese/guava variety and cheese rolls. They have a whole lot of other delicious breads but these ones tops it for me. Their fruit tart is my favorite among their cake options as it is not too sweet. It is always a hit when I bring it to any gathering. They open early at 6:30... More

If tripadvisor didn't require a minimum number of characters, I would have just written one phrase... SO AMAZING! The dulche de leche kisses are my absolute favorite. Always busy but worth it.

Whenever we dine at Damon's Steakhouse next door, we walk over to Porto's, hoping the line will be fairly reasonable. This time there were maybe 10 people in the pastry line in front of me (that's really short by Porto's standards!), so we decided to wait it out. The wait staff is friendly and efficient, so the wait wasn't bad.... More
