Bashan is the perfect place to celebrate with friends. We've been twice and have been very satisfied and impressed each time. Most recently, three couples went for a birthday dinner. Everyone was thrilled with their choices and we each ate every morsel on our plates. We ordered: halibut, New York steak, lamb loin, the special filet mignon hamburger, spicy octopus,... More

We were invited to a quiet family dinner at Bashan. A small but cosy place, where we could relax and be served very calmly at a good pace, carry on with the conversation without being continuously disturbed. Our server was very efficient, understood what we wanted and looked after us in a pleasant manner.

The restaurant is small, charming and cozy. The wait staff was great, sorry that I don't remember the name of our waiter - he was outstanding. Four of us celebrated a birthday on Saturday night. We ran late because of a taxi problem, but we got the best table in the place. Everything we tried was delicious. The duck, the... More

My husband and I have been to this restaurant occasionally since they were newly open. It has been and continues to be excellent. A husband and wife team have made this small intimate restaurant a success by serving the highest quality ingredients, the most incredible flavors, and lovely service a winner by any standards. We shared this on our recent... More

We enjoyed appetizers and desserts at Bashan last night. The food was uniformly excellent. We had the lobster ravioli, cauliflower soup, mushroom risotto and a few salads. For dessert, we had the chocolate bread pudding. The cost for 8 appetizers and 2 desserts was $140--pretty expensive (that does not include tip or corkage). You get 4 lobster raviolis in a... More

Hubby and I finally got here---our Groupon was about to expire! Overall, a very enjoyable experience. Quite pricey, but everything was really delicious. I had a spoonful of Hubby's cauliflower soup and it was delicious. I had the duck breast---outstanding! Hubby had pork tenderloin I believe, and said it was very good, not dry (even though he asked them to... More

You can tell immediately that you are in for a good experience. The friendly greeting, the great service and the innovative dishes make it worth driving to Glendale. It is a small space and not as comfortable as I would have liked. The parking is on the street, no valet. I didn't see a bar so I assume it is... More

Bashan's does not look like much from the outside, but inside is some of the most creative food in Glendale. Maybe the most creative. Be prepared to spend about $50 or more per person. And is often the case with fancy food, the portions are small. However, the food is so rich that you end up feeling more than satisfied.... More

A recent review stated that people who go here are "food lovers who can't believe a place of this quality exists in Montrose." There are many good restaurants in Montrose and this has to be one of the best for food. As a local, it really is in Montrose, not Glendale. This visit was on our traditional Thursday "date night."... More

Live around the corner from this place. Small place but very cozy. Great food with reasonable pricing. I call it "a slice of West LA in Glendale." Never had a disappointing meal. Usually eat here once a quarter, would be there more often but wife and I like to try different places.
