We were staying in Glen Ellen Inn and we ate there two nights in a row and loved it!!The quality of the food and the different flavors were really great and you could taste everything. The wine pairing we had was equally good, although I was suffering from a mild cold. The service was good, better the second time. They... More

We stayed in the cottages behind the restaurant and ate at the restaurant two days in a row. Why go anywhere else if your meal was fantastic. I had salmon the first night and repeated the meal on my second night. I may be a creature of habit but, if the fish was the best you ever had, why not... More

I stayed at The Glen Ellen Inn on my birthday trip with my husband. We originally planned to go to Bodega Bay but got re routed & ended up staying in Sonoma. I was very surprised that the cottages exceeded our expectations. It was worth more than what we paid for. We got cottage#5, the one at the very end... More

Sat on their lovely deck as the sun was setting, overlooking their romantic garden and fountain when our handsome and witty waiter helped us choose a perfect wine. Someone at your table must order their specialty: mussels in saffron sauce with garlicky fries: Superb! All our meals were excellent; the hot scones were to die for; the service is attentive... More

Discovered Glen Ellen Inn after prior reservations to another restaurant were cancelled. Glad that we had the opportunity as food was excellent, staff attentive, and ambience great!

This was our first dinner visit to this restaurant which we had previously reviewed for lunch. We were quite pleased. For starters, the menu features items not usually found on a "standard" dinner menu or uniquely prepared items and the dishes we had were outstandingly good. My spouse had a oyster sampler platter (2 each of 3 different kinds), parchment-wrapped... More

We were blown away by the Glen Ellen Star. Think of it as the French Laundry quality of food in a more casual, friendly and upbeat ambiance - and totally affordable. Every course blew our minds with the exquisite flavors expertly coaxed by the chef - there's nothing comparable we've found in the Bay Area and we are major foodies.... More

Can't remember exactly what we ate, but both my wife liked every bite and easily found a wonderful glass of vino to help it go down. Window seat looking out on their garden was beautiful and the service was very friendly.

Having a wonderful Birthday dinner at the Glenn Ellen Inn. Calamari was the best and my Ribeye steak is amazing.

Definitely a favorite for us as we stayed in the area a few days and sample a few restaurants. The luncheon service was very attentive and the grilled Caesar salad was out of this world good. The mussels entree was the highlight with mussels that beat anything we had in years anywhere in the world. The extensive wine list was... More
