Came to try their garlic fries and garlic ice cream. Son ordered the roasted garlic burger, husband the chicken sandwich and I chose the garlic soup. The burger was big and flavorful. The chicken sandwich needed the roasted garlic from the burger to kick it up. The garlic fries had a large mound of chopped roasted garlic and was tossed... More

Garlic is definitely not lacking when it comes to these dishes. But dnt worry you wont be over powered. The chef cooks with such finesse and passion and it's obvious in every bite. If u visit Gilroy u have to eat at the Garlic City Cafe

We recently had lunch at Garlic City Cafe in Gilroy. The garlic soup is not to be missed. I had a pasta entree with plenty of garlic (of course) and my husband had a hamburger and fries sprinkled with, you guessed it, chopped garlic. The food is all made to order so allow time both to receive your order and... More

Stopped for lunch after shopping at the outlets. I chose the restaurant after seeing its high rating on tripadvisor. Given its location in the garlic capital, my wife and I had the garlic soup which was delicious. After the soup, we were looking forward to our lunch plates. Unfortunately, we had to wait an hour for our food to be... More

Started the morning off with a great garlic omelette breakfast. Welcome to Gilroy! The eggs came out of a shell, not a container like most restaurants. The veggies were fresh and the service was fast and accommodating.

This is a family restaurant in downtown Gilroy. The food is always fresh and delicious. The chef does an excellent job to prepare each order. The Sage Chicken and Steaks are our favorites. They are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Try the Garlic ice cream (it's real ice cream not soft serve like at the Garlic Festival) which is... More

small location in downtown district with some serious mouthwatering homemade pasta dishes, forget about the empty retail space and enjoy the great food

Garlic City Cafe is a lovely downtown restaurant, but it is the scrumptious foods that have made this place so popular. Try the fresh scones that Diego makes with a cup of coffee in the morning -- it's such a treat! Of course, you have to try the Creamy Garlic Soup - a restaurant staple. Last week, I had the... More

All six people on our party enjoyed their food. Good sandwiches with interesting flavor twists like cranberry mayo with pablano pepper on the turkey sandwich and garlic mayo on chicken sandwich. Bread was ok with better bread sandwiches could be a home run. Good salads. The garlic soup was great. I highly recommend this for a reasonable stop and get... More
