Driving through Gilroy this week on route to Paso Robles, my friends and I stopped for lunch midway. We found this gem and decided to give it a try. A great lunch. Busy place, comfortable surroundings, and large portions. The three of us split an order of potstickers, and two different lunch entrees with steamed rice. More than enough. And....the... More

We went to Ginger Cafe for chicken noodles with bak choi, three small hedgehog custard buns, and some black bean balls with sesame seeds. The mie was excellent and the vegetables were fresh. It was so good and so reasonably priced that we went out of our way to visit Gilroy and Ginger Cafe for porcupine buns, coconut spicy soup,... More

This place is alway consistently good. Tonight was over the top good. The service is always friendly. Two of us shared the dim sum appetizer, a large rice, each of us had one item off the menu and each had one cocktail and the bill came to $80. Seems a little steep but everything was cooked perfectly. I guess I... More

Incredibly good food and reasonably priced. The portions are large and we ended up having to take our leftovers home. It seemed a little weird having such a trendy restaurant located in the middle of an outlet mall, but I would definitely go out of my way to eat here again.

I liked the vegetarian "chicken" (probably seitan) and vegetable rolls we shared as an appetizer. My vegan friend had to request changing nuts for tofu twice on her entree. The selection of dishes for vegetarians or vegans seems large to me compared with surrounding area restaurants. The wine list is good. The menu is extremely varied and maybe they are... More

The food is alright at the Ginger Cafe but nothing special. The have recently changed their menu in a big way, and not for the better! The selections are limited, specially for the vegetarians and pescatarians. They are not very accommodating for food allergies or substitutions. Today's visit was just as disappointing as the last time. The service was merely... More

Stopped in for lunch in a party of three. Setting is quite nice and relaxing and conveniently located amongst the Gilroy outlets. We all had lunch specials; the mango chicken in a coconut milk and cashew preparation was sweet and full of flavor. The hot and sour soup was OK, but everyone's rice was on the cold side. The Mongolian... More

This café, tucked in the outlets in Gilroy is a great find. It's located in the stores across from the Home Depot. Beautiful surroundings, delicious food, great mojitos, what's not to like. Clearly the best Chinese food in the area!
