Good BBQ!

I saw an old show on Triple D and decided to go out and visit this place. The place is out in the industrial areas and isn't much to look at. I went in and you could say the same of the interior. I ordered the Baby Back Ribs with potato salad and cole slaw. The order came quickly and... read more

I grew up about 3 blocks from this place, but have since moved to Texas. I am a BBQ snob; I admit it. Let me tell you, this is hands-down the best BBQ I have ever had in my life! I love pork ribs, and these ribs are fall-off-the-bone smoky tender goodness. The sauce is rich and flavorful. I usually... More

I heard about this place from Guy Fieri diners drive-ins and dives (Food Network). I am familiar with this side of town (Gardena) because I work there for many years. I never knew Jay Bee's existed. From the outside, its a little green shack with an outside patio. It is placed in the middle of an industrial area in the... More

I saw this restaurant on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives quite awhile ago. Even though it's only one hour from my house it wasn't convenient to drive up there until yesterday. I went there at 3:30 PM. I could smell the barbecue as soon as I open the door to my car..heavenly!!! After arriving at the stand, I realized I was... More

I was worried about bbq in LA but when I stumbled on this place, I was very impressed. Great pulled pork sandwich and ribs.

Better know what you want before you order at the window, or you get yelled at to step aside. Great BBQ Tri. The Ribs are a bit dry and hard Employees at the window taking orders are impatient. They yell at the customers. There are a few tables. Most people ordered take out. Order medium spicy and you'll be OK.

The restaurant is off the freeway in south central Los Angeles. Nothing to draw you in as you drive by. But the barbecue is terrific! My regret was there was no place to eat it. The wait staff is friendly and willing th explain the menu. The rib tips are the best I have ever had. Next time I plan... More

Its just a tiny place but I always go out of my way to get BBQ here. you will love it! Keep in mind this is not a sit down restaurant. there are picnic tables outside but it is basically order for take away. you have a choice of how spicy you like it mild medium and hot. definitely worth... More

I checked this out because it had great reviews on various websites and was featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. I'm picky about my BBQ since I'm from Texas, but I must say it was surprisingly good. It is definitely Memphis-style bbq which is all about the sauce. I had the pulled pork sandwich which was excellent. The meat was... More

I go here when I need a bbq fix. I usually get the pork sandwich with hot sauce. They will ask if you want mild med or hot when you order. Get a side of beans or slaw too. And if you are really hungry the pies are tasty. The ribs are great too but a bit messy if you... More
