Good place to gather and eat

Have been to this place at least four times and have liked the food all four times. I go mostly because of the service which is very friendly and the ambiance--which is brick walks, old ornate wood bar, and great outdoor eating area. But the food is good too. Their fried green tomatoes are to die... read more

When this place first opened it was a colaberation of the city of Galt finance and a restraunteer out of Sacramento. He had great food and a great chef. He left and a new Owner stepped in with much less experience in fine dining. The food has been a step better than Denny's but it has a way to to... More

I was fortunate to grow up in the coastal town of Pacifica outside if San Francisco. My grandparents lived here in a town of 5000 at the time. I'm uber impressed to see Galtonians get dressed up and enjoy fabulous food and drink with A+ service. This restaurant also serves as a museum to much of thus farm towns history.... More

We visited with friends. Food was average. Waitress was slow, I did not get a refill on water. Waitress took forever to bring and pick up the check. They were not busy at 8 pm of a Friday night. No excuse for inadequate service. Fish and chips were on the small side for dinner.

My wife and I and another couple went out for dinner. We each ordered different dishes. The menu is surprisingly varied for a small restaurant and all meals were well prepared and very tasty. The only flaw was that the steak that my friend's wife ordered--it was overcooked, but still flavorful and happily eaten. The meal came with a very... More

Always good food and fair prices. Good service, great bar. The fish and steaks are yummo! Try the appetizer "garlic fries", OMG! Enough for 3 scrumptious! Check mark if this was helpful. Thanks

We visited here for the first time having heard mixed reviews. We found the noise unbearable from the loud one man band to people talking so loud it was difficult to think. The quality of food did not make up for the intolerable noise and the high prices will not encourage us to return. Galt needs a good, reasonably priced... More

If you happen through Galt and are looking for a beautiful historic restored building that contains a see through wine cellar and a beautiful bar then head to Brewsters. The food is always good, nothing cutting edge or inspiring (hey it's Galt!) but you'll get a decent meal with excellent service. The bar is a local hangout with JR, one... More

We met at Brewsters after not having seen each other for years. We had a lot to talk about. The waitress read our minds. She said, "I won't keep bothering you for your order until I see your menu closed on the table." Wow! She really understood that we had a lot to say and ordering was not at the... More

My wife and I met another couple here for dinner. We found the one man band to be little loud and hard to talk over. However the food and service was very good. I agree with others the prices are very high for Galt. $130.00 for four people is expensive.
