Really Delicious Food

I've heard about what a fabulous place this is with great food and atmosphere, so we finally went to check it out. The service was very good, our waitress was really attentive and nice with a great smile. The food was spectacular. We started with the mussels appetizer, I had the Alaskan Halibut and... read more

This restaurant is expensive but WORTH IT! I would say - try it for a special anniversary, birthday or just because. I would NOT take children. The environment is small/adult/quaint...and if I am going to spend that kind of money I don't want to have children around disturbing my experience but that is just me.

This is without question one of the best places in Fresno to eat. I would say that almost every item I have ever had there is at least 8 on a 10 scale, with most being a 9 or 10. Service is also very good to excellent. So why the 4 star instead of 5? The vibe is a little... More

Went here for our 33rd anniversary and thought to myself that it was going to be very expensive and I would feel disappointed. Yes, it is very expensive, but in the end I felt the value was certainly there. We started with the Mala-insana Napoleon appetizer (pumpkin seed-encrusted eggplant with goat cheese, oven-roasted tomatoes and pesto misted with aged balsamic).... More

The New York steak is fantastic and I am glad I picked it. My wife had the halibut and it was a little dry. Service was great. Our friends who invited us with them to this restaurant said they had to make reservations two weeks in advance. That is how popular this place is. Not the best Stockholm Royale in... More

If you want the type of dining experience you would have at a nice place in San Francisco or Los Angeles you will enjoy the Cracked Pepper. They have some things that you won't see on too many menus in Fresno. The escargot is great, the bone marrow is great and the mussels are great. They also have a very... More

For our anniversary, Husband made reservations to Cracked Pepper Bistro. We had never been to it, had heard very good things, but read a few not-so-good things here. We went in with open minds. No problem being seated, a nice spot in the corner. Sean was our waiter and he was excellent, as was all the wait staff. While we... More

We do not live in Fresno and actually choose this restaurant based on Trip Advisor. We were not disappointed! We ate there in February and returned there most recently. The service is personal and efficient. The meals are a true culinary delight. Try their eggplant appetizer. They'll also give you the recipe! The bread pudding is also superb. Oh, and... More

Well why does any restaurant have to combine high prices with small portions! They had a $50 hamburger for a special that came with a shot of whiskey. I guess I am not a big fan of high priced restaurants that overcharge for what you are getting. $34 for a small piece of halibut with a small amount of veggies.... More
