Good food could be better seating

Tried Five for first time. Everything we ordered was delicious. Even when asked to substitute blue cheese for feta cheese on a salad there was no problem. The booth we sat in though had poor ambience. It was in a corner where one guest had a view of server's staging area when plates come up from... read more

Dinner was good--especially the lamb chops and service was attentive. It was nice to have an option to add a small salad with dinner for $5-$6 --especially one that had all of the special ingredients (nuts, fruit, etc) usually reserved for larger (and higher priced) options. What made our rating just Average was the atmosphere--due to the noise level, it... More

I was completely taken off guard...I basically had zero expectations since this was my first visit to Fresno and was not amused with this city (first night our car was broken into). The food tasted great, clean/pleasant atmosphere and the service was on the point. Felt like we had 3 different people helping our table. I would definitely come back... More

I had no idea there was another side to Fresno other than the strip mall feel of Shaw Ave. In search of a good place to eat, OpenTable helped me find Five. Not only did I find a wonderful neighborhood and much lovelier part of Fresno, I found Five. There is a great outdoor dining and social area, a lively... More

Five is a average restaurant, do not be fooled by the name. I had the lasagna,it was 15 or 16 dollars. not worth the price. The food is edible. But once was enough. The other plate ordered was steak, price was like 40.00 dollars, also not worth the price. Very expensive for the quality and taste of the food. We... More

Food is very Italian. Service and atmosphere are great. Recommend for romantic or business outing. Local establishment, owner has been in the business for decades, well-known in the restaurant industry locally.

This was dining on a Sunday. We had great service! Our server was efficient and they were timely in returning to the table. The food was 'ok', 3 of us had pasta dishes. We also had salads. My iceberg wedge was good and the spinach salad was also good. Another patron had one of the chicken dishes, he ate all... More

We had a private dinner for 16 people on a very busy Friday night. We worked with Marina to set everything up. On the day of the event, we met with Mason who ensured everything was set for the evening. We had a long table on the enclosed patio. The heat lamps were perfection, we had them turned off after... Most likely my last! I have been wishing to go to FIVE for a very long time--2007! Recently went to Trelio and Cracked Pepper and Max's--each 5 Star for me. Went to dinner just this week, with a large group. So the service, granted is not going to be as good, and it wasn't. But she should have remembered my... More

My sister lives in Fresno and goes here quite a lot for the happy hour which is on Wednesdays. The appetisers are such a great bargain from $3 - 8 and although the cocktails are limited the few they do have on the happy hour menu for $5 are very nice.
