Captain Piemonte "Back at the Helm!"

Good Morning Trip Advisor Friends, ...Well, there I was, headed back to Piemonte's. My friend, a long-time patron of the Tower District drive-in's, deli's, and dives, - insisted that we make the trip to Piemonte's for a Marco Polo, Aircraft, or Piemonte's Sandwich. I said, "why the heck not, and... read more

Our second visit. We were happy with our sandwiches the first time so we decided to try again. The beef sandwich we ordered was very good. We especially like the nice size of their bread. The sandwich is not all bread. We were disappointed in the pasta salad. It tasted grocery store made, bland and doughy. However the cannoli was... More

Good Afternoon Trip Advisor Friends, I discovered Piemonte's Deli in the late 70's when Mom used to work in the Tower District." Since then, there have been many changes to the Tower however, Piemonte's has changed very little in thirty years and that feels nice, actually.  Piemonte’s Deli features a wonderful array of bottled, canned, and refrigerated deli products.... I'm not a Fresno resident. Was in town for baseball tourney and wanted a good old-fashioned deli sanwich. Found this place while driving through old part of town. Just what we wanted - a big fat deli sandwich. Maybe too much lettuce and not enough meat, but overall good. Only a few tables outside - no indoor seating. Lots of... More

I had a very good experience. We were trying to buy food for a meeitng that we had planned. I remember that we bought sandwiches for our Toastmasters meeting. I Piemonte's and I order lazagnia and salad tray...The price was right and the food everyone was very happy.

The bloom is off the rose at Piemonte's. Sandwich shop kings for decades have lost their edge. The still have good italian sausages to buy fresh or frozen. This old Fresno standby needs to step back up to where it once stood. Hate to see something that was once exceptional be so ho hum.

My wife is from Fresno, and she suggested the Piemonte's Italian Deli for sandwiches for a picnic. She sent me in. I ordered our food, was greeted pleasantly, and waited for our sandwiches. I liked the "old school" feel to the deli as well.

I don't see the old familiar faces and our sandwiches weren't as good. It pains me to write this after previously writing a glowing review but I can only surmise things have changed hands. The deli counter selections were half empty behind the glass and the salads that were there looked tired. They didn't taste the same, either. The girl... More

Another location that is walking distance from where I live. Love the items they have, reminds me of Argentinian deli, but it's costly.

If you're craving an old fashioned Deli Sandwich, this is the place to go. Their menu has something for every one. A word of advice: call your order in ahead of time, and it will be ready when you arrive. They have a good selection of the most popular Italian meats, cheeses and olive oils, and they can get very... More
