First time here we had the rock star roll, fresno roll and the red rose roll with sampler fish and the terikayi chicken benito. sushi was good and chicken wasn't as good as Merced Pocket 8's. The Mochi was very good and the Soki was great

Vicky and others provided the worst customer service that I've ever experienced. I will NEVER go back there. Vicky if you read this....how could you be so rude to a seven year old child?? You slammed his glass down and said in a very rude voice "there is your water, happy now?" I told the manager and he seemed aloof

I have to trust a restaurant to order sushi. Freshness is key. I am always confident that what I order at Sakanaya is fresh, creative, and delicious. When I want sushi this is where I go. I am never disappointed.

I have tried many places in Fresno and Clovis and Sakanaya is my favorite when it comes to the Hibachi grill. The sushi rolls are pretty good as well, my favorite is the green dragon roll

They are here to rip off overweight people who think this is authentic teppan. They use lard on the grill and we lap it up. Food tastes okay but the room is always hot, the service slow and the show lame. If you love the teppan thing, and my kids sure do, find somewhere else to go. Here you leave... More

Poor selection of fish, nothing special; Nice interior. Slow service. Really not much either good or bad to say

We go there every time we're in Fresno. The food is much better than the chain type places and the little Sushi I have had was very good. The food has flavor to it. Some Teppanyaki places are kind of bland. I really like this place so will keep going.

We went to Sakanaya on a recommendation from friends, and had an enjoyable meal. The tepanyaki was good (but nothing different than other places in town) and the suchi I ordered was good. There are better places in my opinion to get sushi in Fresno. It was a nice location in north Fresno, and I'd recommend it to people in... More

We go time to time and all i could say is that this place is one of the best in fresno. The server here is very nice, of course the new or unexperienced will be lack then the one who has experienced. Tepanyaki is the great. Sushi and roll here is fresh and very tasty. The price is not cheap... More

The first time we went here we had such a bad experience; I can now say that I will never return. I am a vegetarian so I require a waitress to actually listen to my order because I need to know which items have meat in them. After telling me that the eggrolls are meatless, she brought out ones that... More
