I went here on a recommendation from a friend that lives in the area. While I'd had Armenian food before from neighbors, I'd never been to an Armenian restaurant. From the moment I walked through the door, I knew the food would be good. The smells were amazing! The wait staff seated us right away. They were very attentive. The... More

I have eaten in many Armenian/ME places in LA and Fresno, and AJs stands out . The owner is in the kitchen, the servings are well sized. I had a lamb kebab, well cooked, the meat was juicy and flavored. Perhaps the house wine selection could be improved. Prices are very fair. This place is busy, many repeat customers. Friendly... I LOVE this restaurant. It is my only saving grace when I have to go to Fresno....I know I will eat here. Lamb kabobs are the best...stuffed grape leaves are good too. Take your own wine...cheap corkage fee.

Jerry Tarkanian (Former College Basketball Coach mentioned in Chuck Negron's book: Three Dog Nightmare) can be spotted here from time to time. Sandwiches are great! Go on Thursdays, when they have Dolma.

Everything is cooked to perfection. By far the best humas and tabouli in Fresno. Service is attentive, decor is pleasant.

Fresh ingredients, excellent bulger and pilaf, fresh vegetables grilled to perfection. Refreshing cucumber tomato salad. Meats from chicken to lamb alway cooked to the proper temperature. Very good. Simple and true. Daily specials for lunch and dinner too.

It must be good because everyone in the place knows each other. The restaurant is full of Armenians so that says it all. I really enjoyed my meal here and would recommend this place to all. Even if they don't have a wedding band.

My once a year visit to Fresno visiting family includes AJ's Armenian Cuisine. The food here is on point and over the top delicious. Tonight I had the Koofta Plate which included Pilaf and Bulgar Pilaf. Summer Salad. Armenian bread and Raspberry Tea. If you leave this place hungry it's your own fault. I'll eat here at least two more... More

This locally owned restaurant serves freshly prepared food. The kebabs are excellent, and the bulgar pilaf delicious. The summer salad is also yummy, served with every meal. My favorite item is their hummus. It is flavorful and smooth. They also do a great job for take out. I ordered from them for a dinner party and we had plenty of... More
