My family members have been regulars at George's for around 20 years. Dad was a beef lover -- loved the beef shish kabob with veggies & *the best pilaf* in town. My faves have always been the salmon kabob (often on special) and the chicken kabob. Wonderful traditional Armenian fare! I've never had the lamb, but I've heard it's excellent.... More

Everyone at the table enjoyed their dinner, but the food was a little more pricey than we had expected. Very nice atmosphere. Can sit at the bar or at a table.

The lamb shis-ka-bob is really good. I chose that based on other reviews. It's a low key casual place, with a bar, but the food is good and so is the price.

the food was good and the value was fine. the servers treated people very well if they knew you and not very well if they didn't. it was pretty clear to see that they catered to their regulars.

We went to George's because another restaurant we had planned to go to was so busy there was an hour wait. Since we've been wanting to try George's for a while, we thought this would be a good opportunity. However, we were very disappointed with what we received in comparison to the very high prices. We had a chicken plate,... More

Now that By the Sea has gone downhill, George's business is picking up. This family run restaurant has been at this location for seventeen years. And the pride of ownership is evident. The matriarch comes and greets each guest and makes certain it is all as it should be. The lamb dishes are especially good as are the kebabs. I... More

Perfectly suited to take customers and employees to for a quiet, tasty lunch. Better for out of towners, looking for something different, unusual, and delicious! Not common in the rest if the USA, here, you can get honest Armenian food: shish kabob, lulu lavash, dolmas, swarms, kufti - all of it and more. The rice pilaf is exactly what pilaf... More

I grew up in Fresno and now live in Monterey county so whenever I visit I always have to stop by and have something from George's. Their shish-kebab sandwich is absolutely DELICIOUS!! Along with the rice pilaf, you just can't beat it!! All their food is good so if you are in town you really should stop and try them.

Charbroiled steaks... and you can watch. Lots of Mediterranean options here, too. Food was good and service was very attentive and friendly. Try the blue cheese dressing if it's your thing.
