Good family dining, reasonable prices, western atmosphere. Prompt service.

Very good "americana" food. Not fancy but clean and friendly. Conveniently located. The menu had all the standard fare for this type of establishment.

Yes, I know this is a Fresno institution, and the food is not bad at all. It is a great choice if you desire some Armenian food. But the prices seem to be higher than other Mediterranean-style restaurants here in Fresno. You do get linen tablecloths and professional service, but I seek my shish-kebab elsewhere.

Been going to George's for over 15 years! Great food never disappointed with anything ordered on the menu! The shish is the best in town and the lamb chops are to die for!

My family members have been regulars at George's for around 20 years. Dad was a beef lover -- loved the beef shish kabob with veggies & *the best pilaf* in town. My faves have always been the salmon kabob (often on special) and the chicken kabob. Wonderful traditional Armenian fare! I've never had the lamb, but I've heard it's excellent.... More

Everyone at the table enjoyed their dinner, but the food was a little more pricey than we had expected. Very nice atmosphere. Can sit at the bar or at a table.

The lamb shis-ka-bob is really good. I chose that based on other reviews. It's a low key casual place, with a bar, but the food is good and so is the price.

the food was good and the value was fine. the servers treated people very well if they knew you and not very well if they didn't. it was pretty clear to see that they catered to their regulars.

We went to George's because another restaurant we had planned to go to was so busy there was an hour wait. Since we've been wanting to try George's for a while, we thought this would be a good opportunity. However, we were very disappointed with what we received in comparison to the very high prices. We had a chicken plate,... More

Now that By the Sea has gone downhill, George's business is picking up. This family run restaurant has been at this location for seventeen years. And the pride of ownership is evident. The matriarch comes and greets each guest and makes certain it is all as it should be. The lamb dishes are especially good as are the kebabs. I... More
