The taste is good, don't get me wrong. The flys at the place and less portions of meat is the reason why this does not get a 5 star review. The cashier and serving staff are usually grim(never smile) and I go here at least monthly to pickup food. This is a CASH ONLY restaurant. Chicken Biryani and Kebob are... More

We found this place accidently and thank goodness we did! If you are looking for a nice relaxing sit down dinner and staff to wait on you politely pls go somewhere else. This is mainly a take out restaurant with some tables and chairs. Have not found a single dish that is below average. Best Biriyani veg or non veg.... More

I have many issues and problems about your employer and the services I am receiving several times I go to eat at Pakwan. The employers behind the counter the attitude is No Good. WARNING: Your reputation is going to be very very bad and your restaurant is going to be out of business if you do not change your act... More

This is one of the best restaurants for North Indian and Pakistani cuisine. The food is always hot and fresh and the quality is amazingly consistent over the years. They only accept cash so please be aware. The price is reasonable. Expect to stand in line to place your order during peak times. Finding a vacant table is always a... More

We've been coming to Pakwan for years every time we visit family in Fremont. Over the course of a 2 day visit, we'll probably eat Pakwan 3 times! My favorite is of course the biryani but they have great kabobs too. Our vegetarian family members love the paneer and chole. It's almost impossible to find a dish you don't love.... More

There is a whole stretch of good eateries in Fremont Blvd, and Pakwan is one of the southern most ones. The location is convenient for the Bay Area as well, and is not more than a half hour drive (without traffic) from either downtown SF or the South Bay Area (San Jose etc.) My favorite dish is the Chicken Tikka... My job is right down the road from this place. We always order the Boti Kabobs with a side of rice. Their mint chutney sauce is absolutely my favorite thing ever.

Pakwan makes really good Mughal style (Northern Indian/Pakistani) food - tandoori items, curries and vegetarian items. For my taste, the non-vegetarian dishes are the way to go. The food tends be spicier according to Indian tastes. You'll need to go the front to order your dishes, pay, then select a table and take a number. When the number is called you'll... More

food was great, enjoyed it, Lamb Chops, Tandoori chicken, Achari chicken & goat was really the best. don't expect good ambiance from this place. This place does not serve alcohol & they don't let you bring your alcohol, that was a disappointment for me. From next time I will take it to go, so I can have my alcohol with... More
