Enjoying California Dining Outdoors

Good friendly, attentive service. Good food choices, reasonable corkage fees. Nice presentations, and generally good food. A stand out was the pappardelle with a mushroom sauce, and the strawberry trifle! Beautiful outdoor setting.

There's a new chef at Corks and, man, what a difference from the previous regime! The menu is small and it changes frequently. That's because a lot of the ingredients come from the farm right outside the door of the restaurant. The "Hand Salad" is the freshest-tasting salad I've ever had in a restaurant. The grilled vegetables, also from the... More

Stopped here out of curiosity as it is a beautiful setting. We had a wonderful lunch outside on the patio. I had the tastiest hamburger I have ever had. I do not normally eat French fries but tried the truffle fries and they were delicious. Much of the fresh food is grown there; they even make their own catsup. Rolls... More

We stopped at Corks not knowing what to expect, but it looked so charming we parked and went in. Glad we did. For some reason I remember our mountain of a salad that we shared was so delicious that we couldn't stop talking about it. Salad is salad, at some point there's only so much you can do, but this... My wife and I went here on a Friday night and it was odd that when we got there the dinning room was deserted. We had already decided to eat outside, so when we got to our table we figured out why no one was inside. The patio is great with beautiful trees and flowers. The menu is somewhat limited,... More

If you are into fine dining, I guess this place is for you. I just can't quite stand spending that much money on a meal, since I grow a lot of my own veges and can make a mean sauce or two. But the atmosphere, the flexibility of the environment (e.g., you can take your glass of wine out to... More

Dine on the patio if you can. Terrific soups, salads, charcuterie, creative main courses. The new chef does pork particularly well. Five bucks for a few slices of bread is a bit much, even if it is locally produced, they need to get over that. And the Russian River Vineyards reds are on the delicate side for our palates... order... More

We arrived 10minutes after closing and they still took us with smiles and welcome. Great atmosphere, wonderful food, and fun people.

Five stars (at least 4.5!) for the evening patio ambiance, which included live music last Friday, and the food. The burrata with apricots and honey was a delicious starter and my scallops were cooked and seasoned perfectly. Had a peach cherry cobbler for dessert that was also exceptional. My husband had the beef short rib with Zinfandel sauce that was... More
