I've been to Back Wine Bar several times as we live nearby. The atmosphere and service are always excellent. The wine selection is fabulous. The servers are always very helpful, honest and knowledgeable about the food and wine. I like to 1/2 glasses of wine to try different things. The food is usually amazing but the last time I was... this restaurant is hard to find, in a weird spot, but once you do find it the menu is great, interesting and everything I have ever had here is delicious. Small intimate setting, good wine list, flavorful inventive dishes, save room for dessert as it is always delightful, and different as well.

I went there with my husband for brunch. It was pretty tasty brunch but we have to wait for a little while for our food.

On the strength of a recommendation went to Back about a month ago and shared several small plates. All were good to excellent. On 2nd visit I had entree, Seafood Stew, which was a joke. $23 for 2 shrimp, about 6 tiny clams, a piece of fish the size of my thumbnail. "All" served in a broth with ground chorizo... More

We came in for dinner, sat at the bar, the bar is just beautiful, the husband's beer was good and my margarita was one of the best I've ever had. The guy behind the bar was also super nice. And then the food we ordered came and they weren't what we expected to be (from all the good reviews we... More

I really wanted to give this place an excellent review. The interior is charming and cozy. The food and wine selection is excellent. We enjoyed their mini pizzas, scallops, the cheese plate, and the bruschetta. We each had a wonderful mixed drink and then enjoyed a couple of different wines. The food was all terrific as we argued over what... More

We used to walk by the restaurant and we always thought it was a wine bar. Then one time we saw that it was a restaurant and we tried it. And we are glad that we did. Last night was out third time dining at the Bistro. It is a place for special occasions, a bit expensive but good food... More

A wine bar and fine dining too. Tucked into the back of a shopping strip. The food was gourmet quality and the had a interesting option to match your food with a flight of three half glasses of wine. The wine nicely demonstrated a range of styles for the varietal you selected. Service was outstanding as well. I will return.

This place in Folsom started out as a wine bar serving small plates before expanding to become a full restaurant. The wine list changes regularly, and 3 oz pours are available so you can try out a new wine before ordering a full glass or bottle. They just got a full liquor license, so cocktails are now available, too. The... More
