For years we have enjoyed every aspect of Bidwell St Bistro. I was aware of the change in ownership, but wanted to give them a chance. We are sorry to say that we will not go out of our way to return. The menu looked somewhat the same, but the creative talents of previous chef were missing. The tables, brand... More

Dinner last weekend with wife and friends was not up to the quality level experienced during previous visits. The restaurant has changed ownership and will be known as Bacchus House as of June 17.The Caesar salad was good with just the right amount of dressing and anchovies as requested, but two of our entrees were subpar. The ahi special was... More

This was sold, then sold again. The new owners kept the great chef, Wendi, but the food was not as consistent. In fact, downright dissapointing. I suspect some scrimping on the higher cost ingredients. Anyway, it's been sold again, she left, the name will change, so The Bistro is no more.

Forget that it is located in a strip mall with a hundred chain restaurants in the area. The food choices were a little light and the younger member of our party were looking for more vegetarian fare. The steaks were prepared exactly as requested and the dishes were all wonderful. Salads were excellent. The ambiance is nice and a nice... More

This place is in a tucked away corner next to a parking lot, but once inside, you would never know. There outdoor patio seating is landscaped to hide the public cars, etc. The food has a nice presentation, but a bit too salty for my tastes. They have a nice selection of wines and cocktails to choose from. The wait... More

My husband and I ate here for a date night. The food was pretty good but expensive for the quality. I was not impressed by the level of snobbery by the staff. Come on! The restaurant is located in a strip mall! I may have enjoyed my meal more if I wasn't made to feel as if I was lucky... More

By the looks of the outside, you'd probably miss BSB. Its tucked into a little strip mall grouping of stores off of Bidwell street and not visible from the street. But its well worth finding. Its a relatively small seating, so its intimate and not cavernous. The wait staff has always been friendly and happy to make suggestions. There's a... More

My husband and I were on our first date night in many months, and were looking for somewhere to have a lovely romantic meal. This may have fit the bill, had we been sat in Chad's section rather than Aaron's. The table next to us had Chad, and he was much more thorough and definitely more friendly. We barely saw... More

My husband and I had dinner at Bidwell Street Bistro on Saturday, Aug. 3, 2013 and we each had a great meal. I enjoyed the Petrale Sole and my husband had the Plank Steak which was also delicious. Our server did a wonderful job - he was quite pleasant and took good care of us without being bothersome. I highly... More
