early bird ok, food good

ate there twice. First night was excellent (early bird) - everything tasty. Second night, not so good (prime rib really dry and over cooked). Bread was a highlight if you like to stuff yourself on that. The salad was nice. No view unless you are in the "bird room" which seems to be booked up all... read more

We stayed at the Inn that is connected and ate in here each of the 3 nights were stayed in the area. We were able to try a variety of menu items and found them all to be very good and the staff is very friendly. I have the Filet 2 of the three nights and their wine selection was... More

The choice of restaurants is Fish Camp is limited and the Narrow Guage was our preferred choice. The menu is fairly standard and a little pricey. Service was good and friendly.

You wouldn't think that a restaurant of this caliber would exist in such a small town but it does ! Service is excellent and the food is well prepared. We ate here three times during our stay in Fish Camp. Lamb and prime rib entrees were excellent. Artichoke and escargot starters were also very good. Tavern is cozy and martinis... More

When friends invited us to join them at the Narrow Gauge Inn, I was a bit skeptical about visiting Yosemite in summertime, as it is CROWDED! We were pleasantly surprised! We were a party of 4 and had made reservations so we were treated to a very nice table with a view of the bird feeders :-) Tastey appetizers (coconut... More

Thanks to Trip Advisor reviewers we chose to drive out to this restaurant after a day in Mariposa Grove. It was only a 15 minute drive and what a wonderful surprise. The property is absolutely charming with perennial gardens and gorgeous flower boxes. We arrived as the restaurant opened for dinner and were in time for the early dinner specials.... More

Innkeepers recommended this restaurant. We had great food and service. Reasonably priced in a quiet, peaceful setting. We went 3 times in one week. The manager was very accommodating the night we did not have reservations.

We were staying at The Tenaya Lodge and couldn't get in their fine dining restaurant when we arrived as it was booked. We were recommended the Narrow Gauge Inn by the concierge at TL. We had a charming waiter my husband had a great rib eye steak and I had a mixed fish grill all very good, we enjoyed it... More

We were looking for a place for a nice birthday dinner while visiting Yosemite. We stayed in Fish Camp and wanted something nearby. After reading the recommendations, we decided to try the Narrow Gauge Inn Restaurant. What a quaint, lovely place! The food was very good and reasonably priced for fine dining. There are so many interesting things to look... More

Beautiful scenery and a pleasant atmosphere. Service was very attentive. Good selection of items. Our party of 3 all had different entrees. All were well prepared with good presentation. The house salad was excellent. Appropriately priced for quality of food and service. Entrance to complex a bit hidden. Nice selection of desserts that were again well prepared.
