Great food in a quiet setting. Our service in the restaurant was excellent--attentive but not overbearing. My lamb chops were cooked perfectly and tender. My wife had the steak and crab and which was excellent and more than she could finish. Only negative was the inablility of the outside hostess to seat us in a proper table for such a... More

We had an excellent waiter and superb meal (the best we had on our entire trip) the quiet atmosphere made our experience the best. We felt like we were the only people there (it was full).

Did not expect gourmet menus and such great service. Diversified and varying menu was first class. The grilled halibut my wife had was awesome and my salmon was delicious. But the best find, a regular menu item, was the lobster bisque served in a bowl with a thin puff pastry crust! Unique and delicious. Also, had their tableside made version... More

We ordered dinner to go. The steak was covered in a teriyaki sauce and was just "ok" especially considering the price. All our food was over-priced for the quality. Would not recommend this place.

We were staying at a nearby bed and breakfast and the Embers was recommended. While the Tenaya lodge is quite beautiful, there is something awkward about the way the restaurants are set up. We arrived for our reservation, and close to four hostesses were gathered in a central check in area for the three restaurants. They were having a lot... More

We loved this place - just outside the south entrance to Yosemite. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff, serving excellent food, with a wide variety of choices. Excellent wine selection. If you are in Yosemite and looking for a great place to eat, I would highly recommend this place.

Our dining experience here was very okay. The food was very good but the ambiance and service seemed a bit lacking, kind of like they "were phoning it in". I would spend my food dollars elsewhere in the future. The quail appetizer was very good, tho'.

Excellent staff at Embers and food was great. Special requests were handled for us and the tableside cooking presentations were wonderful.
