This restaurant hit all the high notes you'd expect in an upscale establishment. Knowledgeable about California wines and pairings is welcome on a retreat such as this.

Quiet, elegant yet comfortable decor. Found the food to be overpriced, wait staff was knowledgeable and accommodating.

Excellent meal with excellent service! Though pricey, the food was very good and the atmosphere was good. One of our party is vegetarian, and she had several good choices.

Drab room, no ambience whatsoever. Well meaning but cack handed staff,. A Caesar salad prepared at the table was actually tasty but we were alarmed to watch the waiter squeeze the lemon juice through a napkin, should be muslin, and then let it dribble off his fist into the bowl,( hygienic?). The food was expensive and dire : lamb rack... More

My wife throughly enjoyed our dinner. We were served by Grace who was charming and made some great food and wine recommendations. Reservations are necessary and we had a lovely table by the fireplace. Excellent food choices and generous servings. Pricey but not too much more than the lodge's other restaurants which were mediocre.j

Stood at maitre d' counter being ignored for a few minutes, then had us sit and wait for another few minutes on a wooden shelf (!) before being called into a practically empty restaurant! My starter was pork belly which was bearly warm (or warmed up!) and the accompaniment was a white gloop and slices of what looked like apple,... More

We enjoyed a quiet evening at the restaurant. Our waiter, Thomas, was helpful and attentive. We enjoyed a delicious appetizer especially prepared by the chef du jour. We had the table side Ceasar salad (not seen very often these days)-quite good. I had the Filet Oscar-delicious. My husband had the seared Halibut. We were both quite happy with our choices... More

Their menu lists several vegetarian options including cheese. However, after checking with the chef their cheeses contain animal rennet and are, therefore, not vegetarian. Lovely setting and friendly staff. There is a tofu item on the menu but the pore score is really for the misleading menu.

We had the breakfast buffet provided at no additional cost with our room in the Lodge. Was terrific. We were greeted and promptly seated upon arrival. A waiter came right over and took our tickets while soliciting for drinks. The buffet is huge and complete--but be aware that it has two separate lines with different selections. Among the two lines... More
