It was just what we were looking for; after leaving the east coast we longed for good, old fashioned diner food. I think we'll probably go back all the time although it could hurt the waistline.

We were in town for some golf. Local friends met us for dinner at our hotel. I asked them where the best place to get a steak was. Their answer was Rainbow Oaks. Huh? If you found this place listed (like here on TriipAdvisor) I am not sure you would even go here. There just aren't many places in Fallbrook... More

Surprisingly good, The Rainbow Oaks Restaurant is on the eastern side of 15, off Old 395. The food is very good, service great, relaxed atmosphere.

This is a fun, quaint country restaurant and frequented by the locals, so you know the food and service are great. Everyone seems to know one another and happy to be there, so if you are looking for a quiet meal, go elsewhere. I had one of the best steaks ever there, and the breakfast plates are excellent.

I love this restaurant with it's huge helpings of good food and excellent service. We always eat on the "pet-friendly" patio so that my Scotty (Mollie) can accompany us. Go hungry because the servings are from a "country kitchen". A few things that I have enjoyed were the cheese omelet, Asian chicken salad (best Asian-sesame dressing that I've ever had),... More

This restaurant offers great meals and friendly service in a relaxed atmosphere. The staff was super efficient and friendly, and the owners are lovely people as well (we had a chance to meet them).

This is a down home style restaurant and serves a wonderful comfort breakfast. The coffee is served in large Navy style ceramic mugs. The portions are huge, so be prepared. I ordered a Rainbow Omelette with home fries, a side of Canadian Bacon, a half avocado and a toasted bagel with cream cheese. The omelette was served on a platter... More

First time at Rainbow Oaks. The place is spectacular with an old timey feel of a lodge up in the mountains somewhere. Place was crowded for lunch on a Thursday. We sat in the bar area. Nice comfortable booths. Service was excellent and prices were very reasonable. I had a bbq chicken caesar salad and it was one of the... More

If this was my first visit I wouldn't come back. I've dined here three previous times and the experience was pretty good. Had the prime rib special a couple of years back and it wasn't anywhere near the MP (manager's price) for tonight @ $25.95 for a lot of fat and the veggies were not cooked enough. Also ordered the...
