We were staying in Fallbrook on a family trip over New Years. We called Rainbow Oaks to see if they could seat 10 people and they said sure. This restaurant is not IN Fallbrook, it is in Rainbow (on Old 395, parallel to I 15). And what a fun place to go. We had a variety of dishes - the... More

Previous reviews are pretty accurate. Huge portions for a fair price in a restaurant that reminded me off my youth. This is basic home cooking, nothing gourmet with excellent friendly service. Make sure you come hungry or share a meal or you are taking home leftovers.

My first time here, I tried one of the specials which was a brisket meal with Cole slaw and mashed potatoes and gravy. We arrived at 2 on Saturday since (pro tip) breakfast lasts that long. We were immediately seated. There was a good half pound of thick slices of brisket with the 2 sides. The mashed potatoes and gravy... More

We tried a number of the chains and found the food bland and expensive .... despite the hard to understand "offers". Rainbow Oaks was good down to earth cooking with huge portions and excellent value. The staff were very friendly and service was quick. Don't be surprised if you have to wait for a table and don't expect glitz this... More

Great atmosphere and huge portions of good food. Very cozy country setting. The daily specials are all great and the salads can feed a small family. If possible you need to save room for the deserts too!

I frequent the reataraunt because of the friendly staff and because they have the very best hamburgers I have ever had. I usually share the Texas burger with husband And we are both very full of delicious burger.

This is a great local place for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Not a fancy place which is one of the best things about it. Service is usually pretty good. Bikers are welcome here and many visit frequently. Family friendly, good fresh food, prices are fair. My favorite sandwich is the California Chicken Sandwich which is Awesome!! I do usually request... More

If you were to take a classic old roadhouse and bring it up to date then this is your place for several reasons: 1. The food is great. 2. The ambiance takes you back to a place where people gathered for a hearty meal on the highway and shared stories of their travels. 3. The servers always have smile and... More

We dined here on Sunday for brunch with family. We ordered breakfast and lunch items. Portions are large and you definitely won't leave hungry. Food is soooo good! My husband had the NY steak and eggs. We were not expecting such a large and juicy steak. It was cooked perfectly. My husband said he preferred this steak and egg plate... More
