Lunch break before bike ride

We have never been to this area in CA but needed a quick lunch stop before a bike ride in point Reyes. I love this place. It's all homemade fresh cook meals. We had lunch but the brunch looked phenomenal!!! We waited about 5 min for a table. Definitely not bad for Sunday brunch. They serve alcohol... read more

We went here with a local who had recommended this place as being able to suit my dietary needs and indeed they did. They also understood the difference between gluten free by necessity (me) and by choice (very common in this part of California). I chose the fish of the day and it was some of the best cooked fish... More

Popular local place in laid back Fairfax. Sunny and warm although needs an acoustic makeover. Breakfast was adequate. Coffee was very bitter. For $3.00 they should rethink their blend.

I had the priviledge to have breakfast at Barefoot Cafe a few weeks ago. The atmosphere was excellent, staff were extremely attentive and breakfast was indeed delicious. Nothing but high remarks. Price-quality ration was excellent, location is easy to find and the interiour decor was very "Marin countyish" (if that's even a word).

Varied menu using local, seasonal items with a classic flare. Ample portions. Great flavor. Professional service and owner and staff connect with customers. Very clean restaurant with parking across the street.

my husband and I ate dinner at this restaurant and while I was eating it I honestly felt it was the best or at least one of the best meals I have ever had. I ordered the Garden Harvest and added grilled salmon, the vegetables were so fresh and prepared to perfection the salmon a very large piece also fresh,... More

My Mom and I have been here three times, each time hoping the previous experience was perhaps a fluke. This time we went at 11:30 a.m. where it was not crowded at all and we thought it would be quiet enough to have a normal conversation. With the restaurant full, literally a loud stressful place to eat is the environment.... More

Absolutely loved this restaurant for lunch today. Wonderful homemade cream of spinach soup, Caesar salad dressing really special and lean and tasty Reuben sandwich. Grilled eggplant sandwich was also a great hit

Barefoot Cafe in Fairfax offers great breakfasts from a varied and comprehensive menu. They offer a great lunch, and an elegant dinner. Sometimes my husband and I go for a Barefoot Burger and sweet potato fries and coffee milkshake... So delicious, funnily romantic,, and the best burger anywhere. But all the food is good, well prepared, and from freshest ingredients.... More

Perfect and indulgent. You won't be sorry. I drove over a hour to get there and I'd return again and again. This dish here is everything a crab lover desires. The sauce was pure homemade and creamy with a slight taste of lemon and the potatoes perfect. The yolk runny so you can taste its richness. Con: The corn beef... More
