Bon Boniere has been an Old Town Landmark... welll... forever, as far as I can tell. The decor, marble floors and bar, are out of first half of the 20th century. Bon Boniere has ALWAYS been an ice cream shop, soda fountain, and off-and-on a restaurant (yes, arrogant jerk a few reviews down, it was both in EUREKA for decades... More

Bon Boniere is now officially closed, but it had amazing ice cream, including seasonal favorites. And, IT WAS A RESTAURANT. They had delicious homemade soups, amazing salads and awesome sandwiches, as well as a potato salad that was to die for.

We miss them so much! It's been here for many, many years & was a fabulous place to go after the theater or other social event or just for a splurge. If I'd known they were in trouble I would have helped them step up their business. Farewell old friend.

They are now out of business! Their ice cream was fab. We are sorry to see them go. Both locations are now closed. Eureka and Arcata. There is a new organic ice cream shop on the water front but the word is still out on that one.

Ive been going here since I was a little girl, the ice cream is amazing, as are the other desserts they offer like chocolate dipped frozen cheesecake, In the 10-15yrs Ive been eating here I have never been the least bit disappointed

These people are great! I have come out here so many times that I've been in Old Town Eureka- I'm super bummed the one in Jacoby's Storehouse in Arcata closed, though. Their ice cream is great, and they kind of let you do a cold stone-esque thing with your ice cream as well. :)

I just realized they have a deli here besides ice cream and shakes, so this is an option when listening to music and just want a snack or an ice cream. It is popular and the line goes out the door, but the line moves fast.

A great old building. They have unique flavors but will also mix in different toppings to create a new concoction. Very reasonable prices and friendly staff!
