Quaint and cozy with great pasta!

When you enter this restaurant you feel that you have entered Little Italy - it is very cozy just gives you a welcoming feeling. Couple this with great italian pasta dishes and you have a winner!

Joes has always been a favorite. But, they really dropped the ball when they served me "canned" clams with their Linguini in white clam sauce. I've eaten this dish in 100 Italian restaurants and never had it served without fresh clams. Boo Hoo Joe.

We have been going to Joe's for years, and again stopped last evening for dinner. The food is always excellent as is the service despite being full. A family run restaurant one cannot go wrong with any of the dishes that are individually prepared so the food is hot when served. I love going for a nice meal in a... More

We made a last minute choice to eat here, as it was New Years eve and we had no reservation anywhere. Luckily we were allowed in with just a 10 minute wait for a table. This place is very cute inside, warm and inviting. A real family owned restaurant. Joe even came out to speak with folks as they dined.... More

Traveling thru town, we thought we would try Joes. It has some charm from days gone by, but the food quality was really lacking. A generic antipasto and salad. The sauce for the Alfredo was without flavor, like eating fettuccine in a bowl of thick milk. Very disappointing. Sorry Joe.

Joe's was perfect in every way. It's a cozy place with a fun and vintage kitschy Italian decor. The server was really attentive and Joe himself even stopped by to say hi. The house wine was a decent Chianti that was surprisingly good. We had a bruschetta appetizer that was amazing, much better than the typical toast with tomato spread... More

We went to Joe's around 5 pm and had a choice of tables. The interior is quaint and cosy and made us feel right at home. Service was attentive but not intrusive, and the foid great and authentic. We will be back!

Four of us recently went to Joe's on a Tuesday night at 6:00 PM. We tried to make a reservation, but could not because you need 6 or more. When we arrived, all the tables were taken. Because we did not want to wait outside in the sun on a very warm night, we chose to wait inside in the... More

My wife and I visit Escondido about once a year and Joe's Italian Restaurant is one place we never miss. The food is good and the prices are reasonable. The rooms are filled with so many items that the walls are covered with fun items to see. As the food is prepared individually, it really makes the time go by... More

We were in Escondido and decided to go for a nice bowl of pasta. Based on Yelp's reviews, we ended up at Joe's Italian Dinners. The 4 stars are way over rated and don't understand on what it is based. We were expected at least average, but could only give 1 star for service. The service was quick and friendly... More
