I love the gelato, sandwiches, and salads. It is nice to have the choice of 1/2 sandwich, salad and/or soup. Spicy Mayan Chocolate is our favorite gelato!

Quite possibly the greatest warmed sandwiches in north county. The dedo is by far my favorite. They also have a community air pump for those with bikes.

Wow, the gelato here is fantastic - we normally stop here every week for a treat. My favorite flavors are: Apricot Goat Cheese (I never would have thought this would be great, but it is my #1), Browned Butter Pecan, Sour Cream Brown Sugar, Hazelnut Chocolate, Candy Bar...they have many flavors and several of them are creative and unique. Don't... More

I loved the gelato here so much I came a total of 3 times within 10 days. Each visit featured different flavors, most of which appeared to be made from locally sourced ingredients when possible. The pistachio was some of the best I've ever had, and other standouts were the horchata and a chocolate/peanut butter blend. And the blueberry cheesecake... More

Being European I have some comparisons under my belt and for an American place to be this good in Downtown Escondido is unexpected and excellent. Taste is a very personal thing and I think most people do not know what real food is suppossed to taste like anymore, well this is it as far as ice cream goes. Hope this... More

We stopped by here after reading reviews on EscoGelato and we had lunch and then a gelato. Our lunch was a Panini sandwich, which was excellent, salad, and ice tea. They were extremely friendly and helpful and came over to our table and poured us more ice tea. But the best part by far was the gelato! oh my goodness!... More

Prices are comparable to Baskin-Robbins but slightly better quality. I've never had "authentic" gelato from Italy, so I can't say how it compares but I really like it. It's Smith and creamy, denser than "American" ice cream

This is fine, but not real Gelato...still searching to find. The service is friendly and ice cream (gelato) is ok. A tad pricey...but it's the only ice-cream around so they should do ok.

This is a true hidden gem. I have been looking around for a perfect cappuccino (just like the way you get in Italy) and latte and finally came across this place. They make the perfect latte with art on it. If you are craving for something sweet, they have delicious gelato and Affogato. Finally a break from starbucks who do... More
