We visited Italy about a year ago and fell in love with gelato. It was great to come home and find a gelato place in our home town. We visit EscoGelato when ever we have dinner in town. This is where we get our desert.

Small, family run place that has different flavors all the time. Good prices. They also have some sandwiches / food items at lunch. Highly recommend.

You will not find better gelato then here. The friendly local setting provides the perfect destination after dinner or when walking the City at night. Breakfast is also delightful. All the food ingredients are from local farms. Enjoy

Escosgelato has been in Escondido for about 4 years now. It is a tiny little shop with a warm and friendly staff. They are always willing to give you a free sample so you can try something new every time and still order your favorite. They always have wide variety of flavors and the proprietress has a gift for combining... More

We have enjoyed gelato and sandwiches here a number of times, They hand make everything and the variety of gelato is always changing and fresh. They use local ingredients and prepare all the sandwiches to order. We have never been disappointed with anything we've ordered. The only down side is that the shop is very small with limited outside seating.... More

I love the gelato, sandwiches, and salads. It is nice to have the choice of 1/2 sandwich, salad and/or soup. Spicy Mayan Chocolate is our favorite gelato!

Quite possibly the greatest warmed sandwiches in north county. The dedo is by far my favorite. They also have a community air pump for those with bikes.

Wow, the gelato here is fantastic - we normally stop here every week for a treat. My favorite flavors are: Apricot Goat Cheese (I never would have thought this would be great, but it is my #1), Browned Butter Pecan, Sour Cream Brown Sugar, Hazelnut Chocolate, Candy Bar...they have many flavors and several of them are creative and unique. Don't... More

I loved the gelato here so much I came a total of 3 times within 10 days. Each visit featured different flavors, most of which appeared to be made from locally sourced ingredients when possible. The pistachio was some of the best I've ever had, and other standouts were the horchata and a chocolate/peanut butter blend. And the blueberry cheesecake... More
