This is a wonderful little place in Escondido. The service is very warm. The food is typical of a tea house..- small portions and very fresh and tasty.

Tea service as it should be! Dress up your preteen girls and take them with grandma for a special afternoon with best behavior! It was lovely, though expensive...just the place to be instilling manners and acting grownup. Leave the men at home.

My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed a special afternoon of Downton Abbey Tea. Everyone came dressed in period clothes. There was a terrific harpist playing at the front of the room. The menu of high English tea was delicious. Loved the champagne! The young men dressed as footmen in tuxedos was a great idea. I really did feel like a... More

My mom and I went for afternoon tea. We have had high tea all over the world, and were excited to see a tea room coming to Grand. Our servings were very small. The plate was supposed to come with fresh fruit. There were 3 grapes on a stem. the scones tasted good, but were the size and appearance of... More

What a lovely experience. The stand is so nice, great ambience, delicious food with great presentation. Fantastic way to spend a few hours with friends. And they have a darling gift shop too. Try it; you'll like it.

Do you want to feel pampered and delight in an elegant, lovely restaurant? If so, then this is the place to indulge yourself. It is reminiscent of the1800's upper crust afternoon teas. Victorian decor with beautiful lace linens, period hats, lovely china settings. There are different items on the menu, but i like the variety of the high tea offering... More

I wish this tea room was near my home in Northern California...I'd be there all the time. The proprietress provides the perfect afternoon tea experience...cozy ambience with a fireplace and a lovely painted mural, floral china in different patterns for various tables, a very nice selection of tea, and a menu that includes more than sandwiches and scones. I had... More

Took my daughter and grand-daughter to this venue and we had so much fun! The tea was excellent and the food was excellent as well. We had the "traditional tea". It is decorated in English decor with lots of China and hats and boas and beads. My grand-daughter loved the hats and really got into the whole food adventure. Service... More

What a wonderful oasis of calm. As a Brit I wasn't quite sure how grand The Grand Tea room was going to be. However an excellent cup of Assam and a scone with jam (jelly) and cream and I was transported briefly back home. Lots of lace and fine china combine together to give a wonderful feeling of calm and... More
