Do you want to feel pampered and delight in an elegant, lovely restaurant? If so, then this is the place to indulge yourself. It is reminiscent of the1800's upper crust afternoon teas. Victorian decor with beautiful lace linens, period hats, lovely china settings. There are different items on the menu, but i like the variety of the high tea offering... More

I wish this tea room was near my home in Northern California...I'd be there all the time. The proprietress provides the perfect afternoon tea experience...cozy ambience with a fireplace and a lovely painted mural, floral china in different patterns for various tables, a very nice selection of tea, and a menu that includes more than sandwiches and scones. I had... More

Took my daughter and grand-daughter to this venue and we had so much fun! The tea was excellent and the food was excellent as well. We had the "traditional tea". It is decorated in English decor with lots of China and hats and boas and beads. My grand-daughter loved the hats and really got into the whole food adventure. Service... More

What a wonderful oasis of calm. As a Brit I wasn't quite sure how grand The Grand Tea room was going to be. However an excellent cup of Assam and a scone with jam (jelly) and cream and I was transported briefly back home. Lots of lace and fine china combine together to give a wonderful feeling of calm and... More

Lots of pretty little trinkets to look at while you wait to be seated or pay your bill. Very good choice of teas and treats. And the owner is the hostess with the mostest. Thank you for welcoming our costume group for our Venetian Masked Tea.

Delightful English Tea Room. With all the expected godies! Very friendly staff & large selection of Tea. Choices on the menu range from the 2 hour "Hi tea" to a simple pot of tea with scone. Choose your HAT when you get there or come in your own! A wonderful ladies day out. But guys are always welcome. Enjoy!!!!!

If yu want to see Downton Abbey in Escondido go here. I think it's a little pricey but a full tea includes quite a lot of food and tea and service so perhaps not. Not an everyday place but siper for a special event.

Just went to the Grand Tea Room for the first time this week and it was a truly wonderful experience. The decor was very cute and crisp, the staff was very friendly and attentive, and the food was good and filling. Prior to going here I looked over these past reviews and I could not agree at all with the... More

I love this place, and have already shared this woderful gem with as many of my Colombian friends from San Diego. The owner, Luisa , makes you feel at home and is wonderful!. The food and tea, is top of the line. You will think is only for ladies and girls, but my husband loves it. I love the valentines... More

The Grand Tea Room is a grand surprise in downtown Escondido. The ambiance is both elegant and quaint, just as you would picture in an English high tea room. It is not nearly as ridiculously priced as the High Tea at the Empress in Vancouver, but it manages to pull off a miniscule version of it. My only complaint is... More
