We eat here every Tuesday night ($2 glass of wine special on Tuesday nights) and we just love their spicy edamame and rolls. Our favorites are the Escondido Roll and the Protein Roll (no rice in this roll-yum!) but we also like the Crunch Roll, the Orange Coast Roll, and several of our "non-sushi friends" order and like their Teriyaki... We were staying in Escondido and decided to see a movie and grab dinner. We drove around looking for somewhere to eat near the theater and this was where we ended up. We were very pleased with the friendly service and good food. The sushi was yummy as was the Bento box. I would definitely eat here again if we... More

Went for lunch and we filled up on very good sushi for a good price. I think it's a bit misleading to say that certain rolls are 50% off when they are ALWAYS "50% off." If it's that way all the time then that's the price, folks...it's not 50% off! That said, the prices on many of the rolls were... More

We go to Sushi Yama every week because the sushi is excellent and the pricing is excellent. I most highly recommend the Escondido roll, the Protein roll (no rice in this one!), the Orange County roll and the Flying Eagle. Their sushi is consistently fresh and delicious!

We have been going here since they opened. It is always consistently good with great 1/2 price specials everyday! Nice Venue and I LOVE the Spicy Tuna!!! It is our "date night" pick usually!

I don't eat Sushi, but from what I'm told Sushi Yama is the place to go in Escondido. I do eat their cooked dinners and lunches and they are great. Everything is super fresh.

I have been to Sushi Yama several times and, considering that it's Escondido, the sushi was pretty decent. It was after I invited several friends to lunch there and was served baby cockroaches in our miso soup that I have decided not to go back. I had to tell the waitress that I would not be paying for the soup... More

I always order Chirasi. they place a couple of pieces of fish. they weren't really good decent pieces. They looked like they place some leftover pieces of fish that they can't put for sushi. The chirasi was $15 and I was not happy. I ate the fish and had so much rice left in my bowl.
