Pleasant patio

Happy hour is great here with good drinks and snacks. The patio is nice this time of year and they have heaters if it gets chilly. Service is friendly. They even gave us a free dessert because the waitress overheard us say it was my husband's birthday...a very nice surprise!

I try to be fair and objective with my reviews, so I waited until after my second visit to this restaurant to voice my opinion. On both visits the service was abominable. The first time I chalked it up to not enough servers for the size of the crowd. This time our server appeared to only have two tables and... More

Since the remodeling and reopening, this restaurant has become a real"hot spot" for lunch and dinner. Great happy hour appetizers and wine selections. Outside patio is the place to enjoy a meal with family and friends.

Part of me likes the food, service, and atmosphere, but ... My scallops were perfect; my husband looked at my plate and said, "Only three?" It was enough for me considering I knew there would be dessert. Maybe not enough for a hearty appetite. The mashed potatoes were nothing exceptional. The featured Chardonnay was okay. The dessert - 50/50 ...... More

We went for Taco Tuesday happy hour. Seafood tacos were very good. Highly recommend the swordfish taco. Oysters were good too! Drinks were so-so. Attentive waitress but she didn't know what kind of oysters were available nor did she know what the house gin was. She said

Top-notch food, staff, nice outdoor patio. Heard about this place on Open Table. If you're in the area, this is a great spot

a friend works here, we use her discount. nice atmospher, but you cannot eat atmosphere. food good, but portions left me hungry enough to go home and make a sandwich. just another trendy place to eat, need to increase portions, they were more like appetizers. if hungry, go eslewhere. not for biker appetites.

We've been to the Brigantine many times and have had mostly good experiences. Then we returned lately for the first time since the restaurant remodel. Lots of changes to the building - I can deal with that, although it got a lot louder throughout the restaurant. Unfortunately, the menu changed a lot eliminating some of our favorites - like prime... I haven't been to this Brigantine restaurant for many years and not since they remodeled. We went last night and didn't expect a wait but when we got there it was extremely crowded, 45 minute wait. Next time I will make reservations. But we were lucky that within about 15 minutes a table in the bar was available. They allow... More

We are enjoying Sunday brunch at the remodeled Brigantine, Escondido, CA. I never really liked the dark, dull and unexciting old Brig. but since the new remodeling and the new menu, it has become one of my favorites. Their Swordfish Fish taco plate is so good and for $13, it's a great buy. You can have champagne with your lunch... More
