Went Tuesday night yet packed, very busy. Great food, small portion and I thought everything was away over-priced, especially drinks.

Well, lets start by saying I have been going to the Brig 2-3 times a month for years and years, the swordfish tacos, the oysters Rockefeller, the Calamari appetizer, usually pretty much the staple of what I order. The Brig prior to the remodel, had character!, it was cozy, albeit a bit dusty, but always was set apart by being... More

The restaurant has recently been remodeled. This has always been one of our favorite restaurants for a nice dressy night out. The new décor is beautiful, but in doing the remodel, they have removed almost all the acoustic dampers, so the noise level was pretty high. The service is excellent and the food is great. If you don't mind a... More

We went there one night and we liked it. We sat in the outside patio with fire on stones and dinner was great. They know how to cook salmon better than in the Pacific Northwest.

The remodeled Brigantine is everything we try to avoid in a restaurant. What used to be a quiet, intimate, place for a cozy dinner has been turned into a fish Denney's , complete with wooden captains chairs scraping the floor, too much glass and every hard surface reflecting noise. They also shortened the menu and eliminated my favorite dish, crab... More

Saturday 1:30 and there not serving lunch! Wine was a cheap brand with a brigantine lable, way over priced and served short pour in dirty glasses. Server had a stoic attitude and many workers just standing around ignoring the patrons.

As of this date 3/2014 the whole restaraunt is getting a remodel so just a head's up. The place is and has been a solid Escondido performer. They serve a nice fish taco and generally the oysters served are fresh with very few send backs. They have a nice selection of beers on tap and have a full bar. It... More

Business lunch for four. We could communicate without raising our voices. Had the local halibut special and it was well prepared and tasted fresh. Two had the fish tacos and they were pleased. The service was very good, kept the iced tea refilled without asking. We weren't rushed and the check came just as we were ready. Pleasant experience. Will... More

I am not a fish lover per se, but when the fish is prepared right I can go for it. Never been dissappointed at the Brigantine.

The Prince Edward island mussels in a wine broth are to die for. Although we're determined to try other appetizers we find ourselves with this standby over and over again, as well as the crab and shrimp fondue. One drawback - it is dark - lighting is an issue but would not stop us from dinning there. Service has been... More
