No need to get your passport, just go to Encinitas and you'll be transported to Peru. Seating outside is an option, but treat yourself to the colorful decor of the dining room. Each table is set with beautiful linens that appear to have been placed with great attention to every detail. I had the Q'ero: sauteed Swiss chard salad served... More

We enjoyed trying this new location off of Birmingham. The bar area is fun and crowded. There are two or three community tables or you can sit at your own table. Best to order many small plates to try all the menu items.

The washroom is a must; well designed ,creatively appointed and very very spacious. Now the dining room is more cozy with the same Peruvian thematic. The staff professional with management very hands on; he stopped the fan fearlessly grabbing the whirling blades to cut the unwanted breeze.. Whatever you order, you will not be disappointed. Our Encinatian host boasted with... More

5 stars are not enough for this fine restaurant. The ambiance is fun with South American colors and accents with soft south american jazz in the background. From the table cloths to the serving pieces...the great and comfortable design is continued throughout the experience. It's a cozy intimate sort of place so reservations are recommended on weekends especially. John had... More

I came here for lunch last week with one of my friends. He wanted to try it out as one of his co-workers told him he had an amazing meal here. It's funny as one of my very good friends is from Peru. She is close friends with my wife. I saw her the other night so I asked her... More

This is our little gem in North County. Great food and professional service! Reservations highly recommended. If you are looking for a special night, book a table at Q'ero!

Walk-ins NOT welcomed! To celebrate our 38th Wedding Anniversary on Jan 31st, we thought we try Peruvian food. We arrived at 4:30 since it was a last minute decision. The restaurant was empty...only 2 other couples, but we were turned-down because we did not have reservations. The staff was rude and unwelcoming! We'll NEVER go there again!

If you like or want to try Peruvian Food........THIS IS THE PLACE!! Such great dishes prepared in the real family manner, it make you want to come back time after time. Each dish is a taste sensation, and the owner is amazing! She still spends time in Peru and keeps her establishment with the best authentic dishes. Service is great,... More

It was my first experience eating Peruvian food. I can't understand the high rating reviews. Perhaps, my menu choices were not their best dishes. For an appetizer, I ordered a Saltenas & an Empanadita. One was served cold, no dripping juices there. I thought it should be hot, but then I am no expert of this cuisine. Their lamb dish... More
