I wasn't sure what I was going to do for diner, when I saw two local Latinas with a bumper sticker on their car. Boy am I glad I followed my instinct because this was a good meal at a great price. In a strip mall/shopping center sort of place, like the rest of North County San Diego, but it's... More

I've been to Bety's no fewer than 30 times over the past 3-4 years and without a doubt in my mind, it's a winner. Family-owned and operated, the food is always great, the atmosphere is fun (Everyone loves Taco, the parakeet that welcomes you at the front door) and the cost is reasonable. Bety, the owner, also makes tamales around... More

Good, authentic and made to order-if you are in a hurry go to a taco shop like Raul's. This is a family run, tiny place. A favorite among locals. The huaraches and sopes are great. So is the tinga de pollo and pambaso sandwiches. if you want great touristy atmosphere with mariachis, you're better off at Casa de Bandini.

The soups are authentic and hearty. They serve pozole here which is my favorite. So is the chile verde for that matter. The salsa is the best in all of san diego, yes, I said it!

My BF and I were looking for a new restaurant to visit and decided to try this place. Upon entering, I was underwelmed by its decor. Everything looked tired. From the decoration to the employees. The service was slow but we still had high hopes for the food because of the positive reviews. We ordered a cheese quesadilla, cuatro tacos... More

Freshly made Mexican food that covers the usual range. But this tiny place has been a destination spot for many locals over the year.

This is without a doubt the best of the Mexican fast food restaurants in the area. The food is VERY fresh, it seems to be mostly home made and the staff and the help is all friendly, professional and quick. We have never had anything that we didnt love here.

I used to work at the vet office next door and had lunch there at least twice a week. They have the best fish tacos outside of Mexico. We have since moved away, but my husband and I often talk about visiting - - and Betty's would be on our list of must-stop places!

Great family-owned joint with all homemade food. Just had a big family Christmas dinner featuring Bety's tamales, rice, and beans and it was amazing. Everyone loved it. The owners were so generous and sweet, and I'm grateful they were able to throw in an extra dozen tamales when I asked. We stop in at Bety's every time we're in town.... More

This place has almost no atmosphere, but the food is excellent, and while most of the wait staff is untrained, Betsy's son Luis is phenomenal ! We love the Mexico City Chicken Soup, and the adobada pork is wonderful.
