If you have to take someone to breakfast and you want to either 1. show them a good time/meal 2. provide them with an impressive meal or 3. just flat out want them to have a nice atmosphere, dont go here! The flys were rampant. 20 flys at a table. The food was simply eggs but there was nothing special... More

Love everything about the Pannikin from the history of the building (used to be the old train station building in Encinitas that was moved to this site) to the amazing coffee and pastrys. They even have gluten free muffins that are delicious! It gets busy on the weekends and there is usually a line out the door so make sure... More

Went to have coffee and breakfast during a bicycle ride along the coast. Coffee and food is great, service is friendly and efficient. Great atmosphere and outside seating

Don't let the line out front fool you! It moves quickly. You order your food at the counter and it's brought out to you. Open seating is comfortable. The food is outstanding. Huevos Rancheros and Cherry Pie! The baked goods are worth the trip! Outstanding. And as mentioned in other posts, the coffee is great! Will visit again!

An amazing place with a retail section and indoor/outdoor café. Parking in the rear. Muffins and pastries the size of your hand. Memorable indulgence for a number of your senses...

Been coming here over 25 years and it still is the best! Love walking from home and enjoying the coffee ! Go for breakfast and sit outside. The art work from the locals is worth a visit in itself.

The Pannikin is a great little spot to grab a coffee or tea and relax. They have a cozzy atmosphere. The service is friendly. The only complaint would be that parking sucks when there busy.

The Pannikin was recommended to me by a local when I was in from Chicago last month. The breakfast sandwich was delicious and the iced coffee was nice and strong. I will definitely be coming back during my next vacation and plan on trying the pastries. Thumbs up!

Great coffee and wonderful sweets. I love the Lime pie and the kids love everything with chocolate :-) As a Swede you long for great coffee and you will find it at Pannikin. The building is very wonderful.

Seems like a cool place to pay for a coffee or tea so you can hang out and enjoy a morning or afternoon on the lawn. But the coffee isn't very good (I didn't like the taste or consistency) and a large isn't very large. Not the place to stop and pickup coffee on your way to work.
