Good cheap eats if you do not mind waiting.

There was a line out the door after I arrived. I waited 15-20 minutes for two fish tacos but they were worth the wait. They have carnitas, asada, pastor, for the meat eaters and guacamole tacos for the vegetarians. I love the chile rellenos and fish tacos. I was here on a Saturday night so that... read more

So glad we asked bellman at hotel about where to grab lunch. Juanitas is authentic and serves great food which you could tell by the line that didn't quite when we were there - and it wasn't because it took a while to get the food. We were impressed how quick we got our food and saw the orders coming... More

Stopped in on a friends recommendation. The staff was extremely pleasant and the food came out quickly. It was really good. We had the Chili Rellano Burrito and the combo platter. Lots of people seemed to be ordering the California Burrito which I will try next time for sure. Be sure to try Juanitas if you are in the area!

I stopped at Juanitas after a long morning of surf lessons and had tacos al pastor with a big cup of horchata. Both were delicious and very reasonable priced! The place was packed when I got there at lunch time and despite how busy the place was, the staff was extremely courteous to all of their customers. I will definitely... More

We have been eating in Juanita's since February of 1992. The food is fantastic... so there is always a line. My favorite... the "Flying Saucer" is the standard for this popular entry in almost all taco shops. Over the years I've tried almost everything... and seen almost everything served.... never heard anything but raves from other customers.

I had heard good things about this place so I stopped and was greeted at the counter by a man that acted like I was bothering him; I ordered nachos to go and imagine my surprise when I unfoiled plate to find the cheese had just been sprinkled on top and not cooked whatsoever! Very disappointing and obviously ruins the... More

This little hole-in-the-wall restaurant is one of the best places to eat in Encinitas. It does get a little crowded and seating is somewhat limited, but it is worth the wait. I love the combo plate, chicken (hard shell homemade) taco and chiles rellenos. I always get a little extra red enchiladas sauce--great stuff. The prices are really great, and... More

Don't be deceived by the bars on the windows. But their food is quite good. Service is friendly. Menu is typical. Street tacos are flavorful. I will return here when I'm in this area again.
