Breakfast is the time to go

Have been to breakfast at Swami's many time. The acai bowl is my favorite. Ambiance is what I think a person not from California imagines what the California coast is like. Especially on weekends, it can be crowded, but it moves quickly.

This cafe was recommended to us. Parking is at a premium, it took us quite a while just to find a place to park in this area. You order at the counter, need to find yourself a table (inside or outside) & they deliver your food to you. We chose to eat outside along the street. Food was OK, I... More

I went there on Sunday, at around brunch time, so it was very busy and the line was long. I took this as a good sign, seeing as there must have been a reason for so many people to go there. When I went to order my food, the cashier, Jamie, seemed to be in a bad mood, and her... More

Went for lunch with another couple. What fun. You place your order at the register, reading the menu and special boards while waiting. Then servers bring your food to you at an outside umbrella covered table. It's was fast prompt service. I especially love the signs and comments reinforcing the 1st Amendment. Everything was great.

Swami's is one of our favorite spots to grab a breakfast with a friend or family member. The food is good (not great, so don't get disappointed), and the location is fun - right on the 101. I love their scrambles, but most of the breakfast dishes are good. It's a little funky, but a good kind of funky. Enjoy!

I've bee hearing about this place for a long time. I finally made it. It's a funky place right off the 101 PCH road. Indoor and outdoor seating. Great place to people watch. Many fit people running, walking and biking. The food is good. I had the Huevos Rancheros. Quite tasty and good quantity of food. Price was reasonable too.... More

We dined here for lunch after a visit to Hansen's Surfboards next door. We had a wonderful, lite lunch that provided something for everyone in our family. Eggs and toast at 2:00pm for my little one, a yummy fresh veggie and fruit juice for me, and a huge club sandwich for my husband. Loved the funky beach vibe and tasty... More

This little hole in the wall surfer hang-out is across the road from Paramahansa Yogananda's Self Realization Fellowship Retreat Center in Encinitas, offering really tasty breakfast and lunch fare. The order area is graced with a mural of the great guru surfing in his orange dhoti, a nice humorous touch. You place your order at the front counter and the... More

I love eating here whenever I'm in town. Seating is mostly outside and surfer casual. The Breakfast items are especially good. Also great are the sandwiches at lunchtime. I have been here sevetral times and never been disappointed.
