Description: Cozy and quaint setting that will bring you back to Italia! A true trattoria one would find roadside in Tuscany. Our cuisine is traditional authentic Italian. With many classical dishes including homemade lasagne, our classic ricotta & spinach ravioli and gnocchi made in house daily. Bread fresh from the oven every morning compliments our garlicky Sicilian tomato pesto dipping sauce. A rock star wine list with more than 100 bottles offered at every price point and more than 20 wines by the glass to choose from. Daily specials are more contemporary Italian with a range of game meats including rabbit, venison, quail and bison using produce and recipes of the season. Gluten-free & whole grain pastas are available as well as a wide variety of vegetarian items to choose from. We pride ourselves on excellent customer service and high quality products for an enchanting experience for all of our guests. Raise your glass and fill your soul with heart and goodness ~ cheers!

The freshly prepared tomato sauces were true italian delicious. I had the fish of the day which was cooked to perfection. The rest of the family enjoyed "real" lasagne, good pasta and veal. It is crowded and a bit noisy but adds to the fun. the staff are friendly and efficient. The wine list is good and not overpriced. We... More

what an amazing surprise we had when we stopped by this place on a whim. The service was excellent and the staff so friendly. Portions and menu options were great and the food was presented very well. What really blew us away was the taste and quality of the food! My hubby rates this as one of the best meals... More

We ate dinner with another couple. For us, it was about our tenth visit. High points were the polenta-sausage-mushroom app in gorgonzola sauce and the lobster ravioli! Less well prepared was the jack tuna off the specials menu. But overall, there is a reason why it's been crowded since day one. Service here is always good; a real locals feel.... More

Met our friends here for lunch. Our first visit and we were not disappointed. Our server Bryan B. was friendly and extremely knowledgable of the menu and history behind the dishes and decor of the restaaurant. He provided excellent service throughout our meal. It was not crowded this day but could be if the restaurant was full as it is... More

We went with another couple on a Sunday evening at 5:00. It's first come, first serve on weekends and by arriving at opening time, we had no wait and it was not crowded or noisy. The staff members were friendly and professional. At the meal's beginning, we asked to have two separate checks and it was not a problem. The... More

The food here is wonderful, but be prepared to have to deal with fellow diners sitting a few inches away from you and a very noisy environment, fine as long as you don't care what your friends are saying at your own table! That was not OK with me and this kept us away for years. However, I had a... More

I have a few gluten intolerants in the family and we can all still have a fantastic home made pasta - with incredible home made tomato sauce - right here in Encinitas. The service is great and the place is warm and cozy... just like Encinitas!

One of our favorite little restaurant gems in our home town. Usually very crowded and the narrow balcony of outdoor tables are the best for fresh air and conversation as well as people watching. We've never had a less than memorable meal or stellar service. There's an Italian restaurant on every corner in old Encinitas but I Trulli is still... More

Had lunch with my son and wife. Greeted by waiter, warm greeting. Ordered drinks and lunch. Waiter recommended a Italian wine for my wife, let her taste it first - she didn't like it and ordered a California Pinot Noir instead. Food was great - my wife and son really enjoyed the desserts. Great food and service. We will be... More
