We loved the Sangria. Order the pitcher if you have four in your party. The bread and pesto was amazing. The food was good not great. We started inside but it was too loud to carry on a conversation, so we moved to the patio and enjoyed that. We'd go again, but maybe just for appetizers.

Live down the street and this is such a great local place for locals! Love brunch and their mimosa! I always order eggs Benedict and we enjoy the beachy atmosphere! Dinner is a must and the nite life there is not to be missed! Always happy faces, and the wait staff are so friendly and happy.

It is difficult to turn down a restaurant that expresses a love for the beach in general and for SoCal surfers in particular. Add to that a predisposition to prepare food in a creative way from the freshest ingredients possible and you have a winner. This is truly a funky little restaurant for Encinitas and we are delighted it has... More

Casual beach scene atmosphere. Mussels are especially good. Highly recommended. We've been there several times.

Although not on the beach, Papagayo is as beachy and Southern California as you can get and all in all we loved it. The menu has something everyone can love and the service was excellent and caring. Our Saturday night reservation for five was honored immediately and we got an alcove table, probably the best seats in the house. Sangria... More

Le Papgayo is an incredibly quaint and enchanting North County restaurant, where the ambiance is only trumped by it's delicious food. The dishes are all so unique and service is quite good. Great place to go to Happy Hour, try the Spicy Shrimp and the Wahini salad- Yum!

The nice thing about Papagayo is that they have live entertainment every night at 7. The HH is decent but it does get packed the closer to 7 you get. Parking can be an issue, The bar is small and they have outside sitting on the side. There is no ocean view

Had lunch here and really enjoyed the fresh mahi mahi salad with nice variety of lettuce and vegetables. The service was quick and friendly. There is seating inside but with a beautiful day we opted for the patio seating in the back. Great prices/good food. Highly recommend

Old Highway 101 in Encinitas is blessed with fun and unique restaurants. This is one of the good ones. Interesting menu, friendly service, reasonable prices all wrapped up in a casual beach style building and atmosphere.

Met a group for brunch in outdoor area. It was beautiful. Delicious banana pancakes. Not to mention the thirst quenching screw driver. I had the Egg's Benedict. Delish. My two year old devoured the Oatmeal Buttermilk Pancakes garnished with some bananas, strawberries and whipped cream. Beautiful area and just a short drive over to Moonlight Beach. Enjoyed this area more... More
