We dine at Siamese Basil at least twice a month. The food is always fresh and delicious. The service is consistent and friendly. This is a small restaurant, and it certainly isn't fancy, but the food is quite yummy! It is a "local's favorite" for good reason. My favorite dish is the spicy eggplant with pine nuts, but everything I... More

A local favorite for us. Been around forever, and all of their soups are to die for, and service is all family owned and they want to treat you like family. Their spicy spice is sooo good!, ask for extra spicy in you Thai Pad. A lot of food with take home doggy containers!

Delicious! That's what I was hoping for when we walked in and thats what we got. I ordered the Rah Nab Noodles and my nephew had the Honey Spare ribs, we also shared a bowl of Jasmine rice. They tell you up front you can order the amount of heat you want in your dish. I stuck to none because... More

My wife is Thai and she loved the food. She had the Duck in Red Curry. The staff provided "typical Thai" service (EXCELLENT). We'll be back.

Had the pad Thai, chicken curry and basil shrimp. 3 peppers spice level was pretty weak, go for 4 if you Eat thai regularly. Quick service and solid Thai option in the area. Will definitely eat here again when in Encinitas.

I've eaten here many times, and almost every time has been exceptionally good - the only disappointment has been when they did not have any spring rolls - my favorite appetizer - try the tom gha soup - very delicious and the setting is cozy

I lucked I up on this restaurant while strolling through downtown Encinitas. I couldn't help but make note of the many people that came in for egg rolls to go. It was almost comical. I had a lovely meal. The service was superb and friendly. I was dining alone so this was especially welcome.

We were recommended this place by a local and thoroughly enjoyed it! The food was outstanding and our server was awesome. The first time we ate in and then ordered takeout on our last night in Encinitas. It was busy both times but waited not long at all. My son ordered the vegetable rice dish which he ate every morsel... More

We are Thai afficionados and we are always wary of Pad Thai serving restaurants. This place rocks! Great variety of choices, extremely well prepared and reasonable! Staff is friendly and very accomodating.

Recently stopped in for the first time - this was as good as any Thai food I've had in very big cities. Picked up chicken satay and shrimps in blankets - very yummy all of it - and lots of chicken prepared well! Not really cheap, but you will get value for your money! This restaurant is small and stays... More
