Need an oyster fix.. This is the place to go.

Great place for fresh oysters and fish tacos. Not to mention the fresh fish dinners you can also enjoy. My favorite is to go for the HH and get 1.00 oysters and grilled fish tacos. The tacos come with a little scoop of quacamole and fresh homemade salsa. Really good. They also make some... read more

Fish 101 is one of those perfect little restaurants--totally unpretentious with amazingly good food. In the evening, it's always crowded, and the line to order is out the door, but it moves quickly as the food is prepared perfectly and quickly. You never feel like you are being rushed, though. The sides are unique and tasty, like grilled romaine with... More

Very good happy hour with dollar oysters and five dollar wines. Crudo was exceptional., must order! $2.5 fish tacos too during happy hour! I ate there three times in three days.

I had lunch there and ordered shrimp tacos...scrumptious! My friend had one of their salads and my husband had a burger. We had every intention of making it back there because the food was so good! We just ran out of time and too many distractions!

When going south on the old 101 just don't go too fast so that you'll miss this gem in just outside Encinitas. I had fish and shrimp tacos and my company had the crab and shrimp Louie. Nice to eat fish and shrimp that's not breaded for a change! Otherwise you don't taste the fish... Really good food but there... More

We dropped in here late one evening after baby-sitting our grand children. The staff were friendly and efficient, there were tables outside to sit and, and the food came fast, hot and delicious, with the standout being the deep fried calamari, which were pretty much the most delicious, delicate I have ever had. A gem.

This is one of our favorite places to eat when we come to San Diego. Beautiful drive up the coast to get there. Food is delicious. I love the grilled Halibut and all there sides are good. We have been here 10 days and have already eaten here twice.

Great casual ambiance, and great fresh seafood. This place is jumping all the time. Some people are put off by first ordering at the counter, and then waiting at the table, but the service is actually good, the food excellent, and the beers ICE Cold.

This is not a quiet reataurant or a place to relax and spend an entire evening, but a perfect place for a laid-back dinner, fresh catch of the day with delicious sides served quickly. You order at the front desk and wait for your food, so no fancy stuff going on, but the food is really good, especially if you... More

I went there yesterday, you walk to the counter and place your order, and take a number and the food is brought to your table. The prices are as high as a full service place and the food is not very good. I had steamed clams and mussels, there were three clams and not too many mussels, for the same... More
