A vegan friend suggested the Roxy for a late (2:30) lunch and I hoped to find something that didn't taste like cardboard, as I'm not a vegan. We ordered the the falafel burger with avocado and a salad, and my friend suggested sharing one burger in order to save room for the incredible baklava dessert.. The burger and hand cut... More

Flavorful nachos and cold beer (Pacifica!) on a sunny, warm Saturday afternoon! Can't really beat that! A short walk from the beach (2 blocks I think?) and right next to the train station, this is an ideal spot to wait for the train, get some refreshments pre- or post- beach, or sit for a few before resuming shopping in the... I met a friend at the Roxy today. She and I used to frequent there when I was in town for the vegan selections. They were tasty and creative. Now I see they have gone to mostly meat, chicken and seafood selections which is not a bad things. We have converted to pescatarian which is a vegetarian that eats seafood.... More

When I crave for a burger (and I am vegetarian) there is the place to go. The Falafel Burger and the Artichoker are out of this world. Prices are great and if you are not a big eater you can even share the plate. Awesome old school Encinitas vibe! Great for families!

Four of us met for lunch at Roxy's. It's an great lunch spot during the week - not too crowded, and right on 101. You can sit outdoors and watch the world go by, or inside. The chicken kabobs were amazing! Would definitely go back.

I stumbled upon this awesome place. We would definitely visit it again. Cheese bread was delicious. Very fresh and healthy salad, and soup was served with the spaghetti. Huge portions!

We got caught in a rain storm, maybe the only one to hit southern California in a couple of months, and ducked into the Roxy. The cloudy conditions outside gave the restaurant a gloomy atmosphere with very few lights. We sat near the front window and had the room brighten with our cheery server who had as many questions for... More

Try the bean soup (lentil, soy and pinto bean) which is available every day. A cup is plenty, because it's closer to chili than soup. They also carry Niederfrank ice cream. It's a little pricey ($3.50 for one scoop), but the Mexican Chocolate flavor has the perfect hint of cinnamon. You can't find this local product easily, so treat yourself.... More

I'm no vegetarian, but Roxy's got fresh salads and veggies. And it's an unusual assortment in their salad, not just the usual greens. And the falafel was superb. The restaurant has a family-friendly vibe.

On HWY 101 in the heart of Encinitas. GREAT food. Large portions. Local favorite. We always share a salad and split an on tray because it is so much food!
