I've eaten here two times. The first was a little more than 2 years ago. The second was last week. Both times my visit was prompted by locals and the food was great!! The store front is small and popular so plan ahead. As most restaurants, you can pick up an order to go. Whether you eat in or take... More

This very tiny, always crowded restaurant has been buzzed about and raved about in the local press ever since it opened. Since it is always crowded it took us awhile to get here and both of us could only shrug our shoulders in disbelief over the buzz. We went here for a Sunday lunch after church and there was plenty... We were in Encinitas to see a show at Intrepid Shakespeare, and stumbled into this place for dinner. To be honest it hadn't been our first choice, but the other place was too crowded to be sure we'd make the show. I'm glad we ended up here! The pizzas were delicious, with a nice choice of varieties. Nice beer selection,... More

First time in the area and this is what the locals recommended. They were right. From the popcorn appetizer and bruschetta to the selection of pizza, enjoyed it all!

Always excellent - our family "Go To" pizzeria! We especially love the "Staff's Favorite" pizza. The salads are all lovely, and the deviled eggs appetizer is wonderful. We frequent BR weekly. Highly recommend.

With only 6 or 7 tables and the same number of bar stools this is a small gem of a pizza place. The wood fired oven produces great pies, the craft beers are cold and the staff is cheerful. Don't miss it!

Holy crap, it's good. My wife loved the Brussels sprouts, our Blanco Pizza with prosciutto was excellent and the butterscotch pudding was REALLY good. You need to try it.

Blue Ribbon is a tiny, noisy, overcrowded restaurant. Be prepared to wait over an hour if you go on the weekend (they don't take reservations), and to be whisked to and from your table by overstressed, unsmiling waiters. The good side of the restaurant is that they use local produce, local micro brews and support sustainable farming. Their music is... More

This was my first time at Blue Ribbon. The wait was over an hour, but the place is so tiny and the food so good, you don't mind the wait. I'm pretty particular about my pizza and I can say that this was excellent. The pizza was the right size with just the right amount of toppings and served at... More

This wonderful little chef-owned Pizzeria has unique and crazy good pizzas and wonderful salads but the real treat is the one dessert that people drive here for a caramel pudding . I highly recommend it , when in the coastal city of Encinitas it can be found in the Lumberyard Plaza. The only issues is that it is small and... More
