The Union is a casual bar and restaurant. Sat in the restaurant, a smaller room on the opposite side of the bar lounge. It was made up of wood and wine barrels. Decor was cozy, casual, and loved the fact it had two large big screen televisions. The food was a southern style of flavor and was good. Service was... More

We went for dinner and we loved the place, nice service and great food. We ordered a flatbread that was delicious and they have great range of wine and beer.

We came here while they were serving brunch. It is not the place for a quiet bite to eat, it is pretty loud even when it isn't packed. The food was your very average breakfast fare. The waitstaff struck us as very aloof. The service was fairly sparse. We had to wait a while for our check because our waitress... More

There were four in our party, we had reservations for 8 PM on Saturday night. Our waitress was attentive, friendly and helpful. We were seated in the Oak Room which is smaller and more quiet. One of our party ordered Pan Roasted Yellowtail for $18. It was okay but cooked a bit more than he would have liked and was... More

We started out in the bar while waiting for the rest of our group. Service was great drinks were fun..Blueberry Mojitos for some of us. Great beer choices for others enjoyed the flatbreads while waiting. Then moved to our table where the group of 9 enjoyed a variety of entrees. The Shrimp and Grits were deemed to be yummy enough... We had to wait for a table and not all menu items were available so we didn't get our first choice but flatbreads were good as was the beer. Friendly waitress, fast service when we did finally get seated.

On the Coast Highway which poses some parking problems off the bat. The place was packed and registering off the scale noise. Hardly the place for an intimate conversation. In fact, you can hear the "conversations" of at least two or three tables near you if you want. The windows were open to the road so adding to the patrons'... More

We went ate here our first night in San Diego. The food was okay....i liked the open-air feeling of the place....We didn't feel rushed which was really nice - as it was a pretty busy place...i had been concerned that they would want to turn the table over, but we never felt that way which was great. Place was a... More

Union Tap has a fun loud atmosphere but an option is the Oak Room where the air is much more relaxed. We have eaten here at least once a week since it has opened. The food has ALWAYS been excellent. We usually order the 'Shrimp and Grits" off the lunch menu and it is definitely one of our favorites! On... More

We enjoyed our meal! Great burger! Friendly staff. It's really more a bar, tons of young people drinking and very noisy! Having said the, I would go back again.
