Good food and beer

A lot of nifty twists on classic pub food, and a pretty good beer selection. The atmosphere and location are some of the best in Encinitas!

Everything was good, and the waiter was starting talking to us for 5 min about some stuff that we really appreciate. So friendly and everything was good. Go take a beer and enjoy the spot !

I travel alone, and as a gray-haired woman, I am often sort of ignored or not given very good service in restaurants and bars. At Union Kitchen & Tap I was treated very well. They asked if I wanted to sit at the community table, and I declined, and they gladly seated me at a private table. Then I was... More

I recently moved to Encintas from Vegas. My first dining experience at this establishment was not impressive, I had the Chicken Wings, totally mediocre, chewy and unappetizing. The staff here are superb, the waitress was concerned that I had not eaten them and immediately asked me if I would like something else. I asked for the Ribs... Ok, but not... More

Union Kitchen & Tap is an airy space with a wide bar area at the front and dining rooms on either side. We chose a table in one of the dining areas rather than seats at the large communal table in the bar. The menu is terrific. Small plates, entrees, salads, sandwiches and, of course, beers of all kinds (and... More

Got to love the open airy dining room at Union Kitchen, yummy food and amazing craft beer list. My go to is the roasted beet salad with candied pecans, fennel, mint, rocket, shaft blue cheese, kumquats and chipotle maple vinaigrette but I also like the flatbreads. And you can't beat the "social hour" prices from 3:00pm-6:00pm daily.

My husband and I had been here a couple times before and all three dinners have been over the top. Last night I ordered the seafood stew, which was AMAZING and my husband ordered the wild boar ragu. I thought his dinner would be good, but I was not prepared for it to taste better than the ragu we had... More

We had Father's Day supper here. The service and food were quite goos. We left happy with our entire experience. We had a small child in our group., who they offered crayons and paper to. The place is loud, with an upbeat youthful ambiance.

Considering it was Father's Day, we only had to wait 15 minutes. We shared three plates, fig flatbread, burger and chicken and waffles. All were good but I have had better chicken & waffles.
