Really good

Went here with a large group for a pre-wedding dinner. The staff handled the group expertly. There were no complaints from anyone. My only complaint is nearly everything on the menu is cooked with onions, and I don't eat onions. I had a "chicken pot pie" which was really a buttermilk biscuit with a... read more

This place is lots of fun. Great beers on draught. We had a party of 12 and they did an excellent job accommodating our group. Great appetizer recommendations of mussels, crab claws, and a cheese board got us started. Sides included brussels spouts, bacon mac & cheese and sweet potato fries. I had the pan roasted scallops which were excellent.... More

Unions menu is different on weekends than weekdays. That said, we ate the monte cristo sandwich (needed more meat and cheese), and the duck Confit hash and eggs. The hash was the best item.

This is a great bar. Newer bar with a old local bar feeling. Open atmosphere completes the welcoming feeling you get when you walk in. The food is fantastic. Have been here a few times and each time have ordered something different. Our last visit I had the fried mac n cheese grilled cheese. This thing was crazy good. Between... More

We had to try the shrimp and grits. Fabulous. Great service and wonderful atmosphere. Also loved the roasted brussels sprouts with bacon.

The day after Christmas as a busy one for us and so post errands and time spent relaxing, we walked down a couple of blocks to Pacific Coast Highway and J Street to Union Kitchen & Tap. It was quite crowded by the time we got there and so we were lucky to secure a long table in the bar,... More

We stopped in for a late lunch on a warm spring Cali afternoon. Our party of four was seated quickly and congenially by our hostess but we didn't score one of the coveted open window seats. Nonetheless our table in the middle of the dining room was comfortable, if a bit noisy. Our waitress had a lovely manner, was attentive... More

My family and I ate here this past weekend on a long weekend trip to San Diego. This place was excellent to both get a drink and have some really tasty, good food. We had the fresh catch of the day and the pan roasted scallops we had were both cooked well and were very flavorful. The risotto served with... More

It wasn't as crowded as usual which was nice as we were able to get a table against the open window. Nice atmosphere to hang out, talk & take in the sights. Had a nice bottle of wine, burgers which were big & delicious and a few veg side dishes. Devin our waitress was so nice personable & sincere. Its... More

Our first time to visit this very casual and vibrant place. A great stop for anyone looking for a good Pub style atmosphere that can serve up good beer and quality food. Not too pricey, yet the menu was quite varied and everything at our table was enjoyable. Definitely worth another visit.
