I'm from Philadelphia where diners are a dime a dozen, and this place ranks up with the best. I've been there at least 10xs and I make it a must whenever I'm in BEAUTIFUL Encinitas. There's always a wait but it's quick. The place is extremely clean and the entire staff is friendly. The chicken macchacca omelette is a must... More

The 101 is a classic dinner on the main drag of the best place in the U.S.. Surfers, regulars and visitors sit at the counter and in booths. The menu is loaded with more choices that you shake a stick at. Excellent crepes and benedicts along with good healthy choices and some nice mexican breakfast options due to the staff.... More

This is my favorite place to go in encinitas! They have so many amazing specials… and they just added a few new things to the board! They recently added a home made biscuits and sausage gravy plate with eggs and potatoes, and my personal favorite… chicken and waffles!! The savory fried, boneless chicken on the waffle drizzled in sweet maple... More

Wandered in on New Years Day, there were only 2 seats left at the counter. The dining room was fairly full as well. We opted to sit at the counter, to watch as our food was being prepared. On of the others at the counter told us we didn't look like we'd ever been there. We hadn't. She told us... More

My wife and I stopped here after checking out of our hotel. I saw it got pretty good ratings and we gave it a try. I had the eggs, bacon and potatoes with some pancakes. The pancakes were a little rubbery, but had good flavor. Everything else was delicious. I would recommend this place. It's right on the main drag... More

Mine and my husband's go to place what seems almost every weekend. Consistently good, reasonably priced breakfasts. The servers are always friendly and prompt. My only criticism is that because the building is very old, the place does not have air conditioning. There is one or two big floor fans but it still does get a bit warm, but I... More

This place has some breakfast menu --so much to choose from plus some very creative specials. If you are in the area, I would highly recommend trying this place for a great breakfast. Great Service too!

I hade the greek omelet, which was very good. Feta, tomatoes, olives, mushrooms, spinach tasted so good together. Potatoes were a bit greasy but very tasty. Also came with rye toast, which I liked but could not finish. Cute diner and friendly service. I saw an order of eggs benedict go by and I will be back to try those... More
